"The EU's bluster about demonstrating their unity and thus convincing Trump that his stance on Greenland is wrong — I think this is a temporary phenomenon, and they have yet to realize that they have jumped to conclusions, Vladislav Maslennikov, director of the Russian Foreign Ministry's Department of European Affairs and Russia's Senior Arctic Official said during the Valdai Club Conference "The Donroe Doctrine: Trump and Greenland".

"Even the most mediocre analysts understand that the situation around Greenland has become a natural result of the profound erosion of the international legal foundations of the global security architecture provoked by Western countries," Vladislav Maslennikov, director of the Russian Foreign Ministry's Department of European Affairs and Russia's Senior Arctic Official said during the Valdai Club Conference "The Donroe Doctrine: Trump and Greenland".

"From the military, military-political, and logistics perspective, Greenland is important... If we are talking about resources... the probability that large-scale resource extraction activities will actually be deployed there is a very complex issue," Associate Professor of the Department for European and American Studies in Russia's MGIMO University Vladislav Vorotnikov said during the Valdai Club Conference "The Donroe Doctrine: Trump and Greenland."

"Both the British Army and the Royal Air Force are now conducting exerci ses in preparation, and I have already accelerated 200 million pounds [$271.3 million] to ensure that our forces have the kit they need to deploy," UK Defense Secretary John Healey told the parliament.
