Sending NATO peacekeepers to Ukraine would lead to a direct clash between its forces and those of the Russian Army, Lavrov says.

"Our Polish neighbours have said that NATO needs to send peacekeepers. I hope they understand what is at stake. This will be a direct clash between the Russian and NATO armed forces, which everyone wanted to avoid, saying it should never occur," the foreign minister said.
