❗️ The Russian MoD's latest statements on the Ukraine crisis:

▪️ On the southern outskirts of Dnepropetrovsk, the Russian armed forces destroyed equipment hidden in a hangar for an S-300 division delivered to Kiev from Europe using "Kalibr" missiles.

▪️ The Russian Army destroyed two more ammunition depots in Ukraine.

▪️ High-precision air-launched missiles destroyed a base used to repair Ukrainian air defence weapons, including the Buk-M1 and Osa-AKM, in the region of Velyka Novoselovka overnight.

▪️ Precision strikes near Vozdvizhenka-2 and Ivanovka in the Donetsk region destroyed 9 tanks, 5 2S3 "Akatsiya" self-propelled artillery mounts, 5 BM-21 "Grad" launch rocket systems, and more than 60 nationalists.

▪️ Russian air defeces in the Izyum region shot down 2 Ukrainian Su-25 aircraft.

▪️ A Ukrainian Mi-24 military helicopter was shot down by concentrated fire from small arms near Posad-Pokrovsky in the Kherson region.

▪️ Some 129 Ukrainian aircraft, 99 helicopters, 243 S-300, Buk-M1, Osa AKM anti-aircraft missile systems, 441 drones, 2,079 tanks and other armoured combat vehicles, 239 MLRS installations, and 909 guns have been destroyed since the beginning of the operation.

🤔 🙄 A group of shareholders has accused Meta* CEO Mark Zuckerberg of failing to tackle the firm's stock tumbling 34% earlier this year as they plan to push for checks on his power, the New York Post (NYP) has reported.

In February, Mark Zuckerberg's net worth sank $29.7 billion in a single day after Meta stock nosedived earlier that month. The first-ever decline in active users came after the company announced that it would be investing $10 billion in its new Metaverse.

😇 🤔 Joe Biden's sister and political campaign manager, Valerie Biden Owens, has defended the president's son's behaviour that sparked controversies over the alleged use of his father's name and purported shady deals with a Chinese businessman in an interview with USA Today. Owens stressed that Hunter Biden bears no responsibility for the alleged actions and quickly switched to his "courage" and "strength" in fighting a crack cocaine and alcohol addiction.

"Hunter walked through hell. He didn't wake up and say, 'Aunt Val, I think I'm going to be an addict. And so whatever happens, it's my responsibility", Owens said.

Despite a victory over the Denver Nuggets in his final game on Sunday, Vogel was unable to steer the squad into the postseason after the Lakers suffered eight consecutive defeats from March 24 to April 8.

Vogel had signed a contract extension last year to keep him at the Lakers until 2023, but the team struggled this season, due in part to injuries. Star players LeBron James and Anthony Davis both spent time on the sidelines as a lack of consistency proved ultimately fatal for Vogel's reign.

⚖️ Johnny Depp suit against Amber Heard starts in Virginia

A jury was selected Monday to hear a long-anticipated libel lawsuit actor Johnny Depp filed against his ex-wife, actress Amber Heard, whom he accuses of falsely portraying him as a domestic abuser.

The courtroom in the city of Fairfax, Virginia, was closed to the public on Monday, with limited closed-circuit access in an overflow courtroom. Both Depp and Heard were in attendance, but court personnel brought them in and out utilizing special access points that frustrated fans’ ability to see them.

The trial is expected to last more than a month. A long list of witnesses includes actors James Franco and Paul Bettany, and tech entrepreneur Elon Musk.
