⚡️ Russian President Putin's latest statements on the special military op in Ukraine:
▪️ There is no doubt that the goals and objectives of the operation will be fulfilled. The goal is to help the people of Donbass.
▪️ Kiev publicly refused to comply with the Minsk agreements, it was impossible to continue to tolerate the genocide there.
▪️ Ukraine has been turning into an anti-Russian springboard to nurture the seeds of nationalism that existed there.
▪️ A clash with Moscow was inevitable due to the neo-Nazi offshoots being specially cultivated in Ukraine – it was only a matter of time.
▪️ Russia is not going to isolate itself, and it is also impossible to isolate it from the outside.

🙄 US President Joe Biden's popularity has dipped to its lowest point, as just 42% of Americans approved his performance on the job - a number that is one point down from March, according to the latest CBS/YouGov poll.
The poll showed that Biden's handling of crime, the economy, immigration, and inflation does not sit well with more than half of Americans, with inflation causing the most discontent – 69% of respondents said they disapprove of the president's response to it. The sour mood of Americans comes as inflation hit 7.9 percent in February, with the White House urging the nation to brace for even higher numbers.

🚀First man in space
Sixty-one years ago today, on 12 April 1961, the first successful manned space flight was conducted by the USSR. The first man to fly into space was 27-year-old Russian cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin.
The orbital spaceflight consisted of a single orbit around the Earth at an altitude of 169 kilometres.
The flight proceeded in a fully automatic mode because no one knew how zero gravity in space would affect human behaviour. But Yuri was given a special envelope containing codes allowing him to assume control of the spacecraft if ground-control was lost.

🇮🇳India developing its human space programme as well
Indian is planning to launch its first crewed spaceflight in 2023. Indian astronauts are goint to fly on Gaganyaan, a crewed orbital spacecraft designed to carry three people.
If India completes its Human Spaceflight Programme it will become the fourth nation to conduct independent human spaceflight after the Soviet Union/Russia, United States, and China.

🤔 Nancy Mace, a Republican member of the House Oversight Committee has called for a further congressional investigation into Hunter Biden's text messages from a laptop that allegedly belonged to the president's son.
"One of the first subpoenas we need to issue is Hunter Biden and his laptop to get to the bottom of this. I want to know who 'The Big Guy' is. Worse yet, Joe Biden denies any knowledge of this, and I want to know who is 'Pops'", Mace stated.
In late March, Republican congressmen signalled a readiness to subpoena Hunter Biden over his purportedly murky dealings abroad and the extent of his father's alleged involvement if the GOP retakes control of one or both houses of Congress later this year.
