😳👉Drama erupted in the Missouri State House over a proposed law that would prevent trans women from participating in women’s sports.

In a passionate speech on Thursday, state Representative Ian Mackey, 35, blasted Representative Chuck Basye, 63, over his support of the Save Women’s Sports bill, which would ban those who are biologically male from competing for women’s athletics scholarships. The legislation was an amendment to a different bill designed to audit the state’s voter rolls, the Springfield News-Leader reported.

“This is the legislation you want to put forward. This is what consumes your time… I was afraid of people like you growing up,” said Mackey, who is gay. “Thank God, I made it out. I think every day of the kids who are still there who haven’t made it out, who haven’t escaped from this kind of bigotry. Gentlemen, I’m not afraid of you anymore.

😱😷For weeks, China’s most populous city, Shanghai, has been under strict lockdown orders in an effort to control a coronavirus outbreak. Its 25 million residents have been trapped at home, struggling to feed themselves or get medical help for sick family members. Others have been corralled into makeshift quarantine centers and temporary hospitals, unsure when they will be allowed to leave.

Under government rules, the almost 300,000 residents who have tested positive for the coronavirus since early March and their close contacts must be sent to mass quarantine centers or to hospitals, depending on the severity of their symptoms.

Videos have shown people fighting over stretched-thin supplies, trying to plug leaks, and in some cases attempting to escape centers. On Thursday, residents at an apartment complex in the Zhangjiang high-tech park in Pudong clashed with police after authorities said the compound would be converted into an isolation site.

👀🔎In Missouri, Georgia, Ohio, and now Nebraska, Republican men running for high office face significant allegations of domestic violence, stalking, and even sexual assault — accusations that once would have derailed any run for office.

But in an era of Republican politics when Donald J. Trump could survive and thrive amid accusations of sexual assault. Republican candidates, by and large, have remained defiant. One exception is Sean Parnell, Mr. Trump’s pick for an open Senate seat in Pennsylvania, who suspended his campaign after his estranged wife testified that he had repeatedly abused her and their children.

Political scientists are not surprised by Republicans’ tolerance for accusations. Charges of misogyny, sexual harassment, and even domestic abuse have “become deeply partisan in terms of beliefs about what is acceptable and what is appropriate,” said Kelly Dittmar, a professor at the Center for American Women and Politics at Rutgers University.

🔎 According to Mizintsev, the nationalists and mercenaries at Azovstal are "persistently demanding permission from the authorities in Kiev to lay down their arms and surrender. At the same time, representatives of the Ukrainian authorities categorically forbid doing this and are threatening [them] with subsequent executions."

🍸👶👶🏽Michigan kindergartener brings Jose Cuervo margaritas to snack time, making students 'woozy'. A Michigan kindergartner brought a bottle of ready-to-drink Jose Cuervo margaritas to school and reportedly passed out drinks to multiple students.

The incident happened at Grand River Academy in Livonia, Michigan, where kindergartners were allegedly handed the drink by another student.

"She felt woozy, a little dizzy," Zanders said. She added that her daughter was only told what was inside the drink after she drank it, and said that her daughter gave her a "funny face" when she told the teacher.

"The girl poured it in her cup and she drank it and the girl ended up telling her what it is, and she went and told the teacher there is liquor in this cup, and the teacher gave her a funny face," Zanders said. The alcoholic drink was brought to school in one of the student's backpacks.

🧐🏝🏖As the mayor of Miami, Francis Suarez, 44, is the perfect politician for his crypto-bro, high-spending, hard-partying, tech-savvy, venture capital constituency.

Fueled by his popularity he won his first election in 2017 by 86% and his reelection in 2021 with over 78% of the vote Suarez’s name has also been kicked around as one of the top Republican contenders to watch in 2024 and 2028, with rumors he might join Nikki Haley’s presidential ticket should she run, or even emerge as a presidential candidate himself.

“The post-Trump GOP needs to have aspirational, inspirational leadership,” Suarez declares, from his HQ in Coconut Grove, Fla. “To me, it looks like someone that leans into innovation. To me, it looks like someone that understands our major demographic minorities, like Hispanics.”

When asked if he sees himself in this role, Suarez said, “the idea of serving at a higher level in the future is exciting. The fact that people talk about it is exciting.

Workers at Apple’s flagship Grand Central Terminal retail location in Manhattan have begun to formally collect signatures to form a union, according to a newly updated website launched by the organizers, setting the stage for a showdown between the iPhone maker and the employees who sell them.

The organizers, who have dubbed themselves “Fruit Stand Workers United,” say they voted on Feb. 21 to affiliate with Workers United, a national labor union that has supported the successful unionization efforts of Starbucks employees around the country, according to the site.

People involved in the organizing effort told The Washington Post that they have endured months of efforts by Apple to convince employees that unionizing is a bad idea, accusing the company of “union-busting” tactics. Now, they are handing out signature cards to would-be union members.

🔻A fourth bus carrying migrants from Texas arrived in Washington, D.C., Saturday carrying fewer than 10 migrants fleeing Venezuela’s capital city, Caracas.

In an interview with Fox News Digital, a 23-year-old asylum seeker who asked to remain anonymous said he was fleeing poverty in an attempt to provide more for his family back home.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott vowed to bus migrants crossing the border into his state to D.C. in retaliation for President Biden’s plans to end Title 42 expulsions by the end of next month.

"There's not just one simple reason for somebody to leave their country and come here," the migrant told Fox News Digital through a translator. "Because of the corruption and because of the really high food prices in Venezuela right now," he was motivated to make the journey north to the U.S. to find work.
