Police said at 11 p.m. on Sunday, a Zone 1 officer responded to a noise complaint at the address where the party was being held.

Police said a man was asked to turn the music down and he complied with the request. Police said the officer told him if police were called back to the address again, they would have to shut the party down.

There were no further noise complaints or ordinance calls to the address, police said. Later, around 12:30 a.m. officers were alerted to multiple ShotSpotter alerts in the 800 block of Suismon Street, where the Airbnb is located.

US Vice President Kamala Harris officially announced the decision during her visit to Vanderburg Space Force Base in the state of California.

A Republican congressional aide said Republicans in Congress are skeptical about the ban over concerns that US adversaries will not ban such tests themselves, according to NBC News.

The Biden administration's decision to impose a ban is in part due to Russia's successful anti-satellite weapon system test in November when Moscow destroyed its old spacecraft Celina-D, the report said.
