🇳🇴 🇺🇦 Assessments are being made of sending heavier weapons to Ukraine, in addition to those already dispatched, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre has announced in parliament.

According to Støre, Norway's previous arms deliveries have arrived in Ukraine. Among other things, Norway has donated 4,000 M72 type anti-aircraft missiles and around 100 Mistral anti-aircraft missiles.

Whereas Norway's Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre described donating arms to a warring party as a “new experience” for the country, Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called Western weapons deliveries to Ukraine “pouring oil on the fire”, warning that the shipments would become a “legitimate target” for Russian forces.

▪️ Hangars containing a large cache of foreign weapons and ammunition were destroyed by Kalibr missiles on the territory of the Zaporozhye aluminium plant.

▪️ Operational-tactical and army aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces hit 59 Ukrainian military facilities overnight.

▪️ Russian air defence shot down 18 Ukrainian drones and a Tochka-U tactical missile.

▪️ Some 141 Ukrainian aircraft, 110 helicopters, 607 drones, 273 anti-aircraft missile systems, 2,596 tanks and other combat armoured vehicles, 296 MLRS installations and 1,134 guns have been destroyed since the beginning of the operation.

🗣 Speaking at a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing on Tuesday, Ellen Lord, former under secretary of defence for acquisition and sustainment, called the situation “a huge threat” to the national security, according to the news agency Bloomberg. Lord added that the US has already sent nearly a quarter of its stockpile of Stinger anti-aircraft missiles to Ukraine.
