🎓🎓President Biden commended students at the University of Delaware for not losing hope in America and taking up a life of public service.
“We need all of you to get engaged in public life and the life of this nation,” Biden told graduates of the school in a commencement address. “There’s one message I hope you take from me today: This is no time to be on the sidelines. It’s not hyperbole. I mean it from the bottom of my heart.”
In the course of his 28-minute speech, Biden told the story of a small-town Delaware kid who barely made it through school and how their Claymont family struggled to meet the $300 college tuition for him and his sister, Valerie. The kid, who was never pegged as the nation's next leader, was Joe Biden.

🔻The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has confirmed a second presumptive monkeypox case in the state.
The person who acquired the virus was in close contact with a person known to public health as another hypothetical case. The state is waiting for confirmation on the positive point from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The new case is in a young man seeking care in Denver. The man is improving and isolated at home. Monkeypox is primarily spread through close contact with respiratory droplets, bodily fluids, or skin lesions. The first presumptive case in Colorado was reported on Thursday.

🎙🏛Vice President Kamala Harris on Saturday spoke at the funeral of one of the ten people killed by a gunman at a grocery store in Buffalo, New York.
"I cannot even begin to express our collective pain as a nation for what you are feeling in such an extreme way, not only to lose someone that you love but through an act of extreme violence and hate," Harris said. "And I believe that our nation is experiencing an epidemic of hate right now."
Harris spoke at the funeral of Ruth Whitfield, who was one of the ten killed when a gunman opened fire in a grocery store on May 14. Authorities have said that the gunman, White, chose the grocery store because it's in a predominantly Black neighborhood.

💎💍Shanna Moakler, the ex-wife of Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, is auctioning her engagement ring – just days after Barker married reality TV star, Kourtney Kardashian.
The auction is scheduled to run from Friday, May 27, to Tuesday, May 31, although it could potentially be extended depending on how much interest it receives.
Bidding for Moakler’s ring — which features a diamond-encrusted band surrounding a large, solitaire stone — starts at $51,000, but she thinks it may go for more. “I’m hoping it sells for $120K. It was worth about $160K,” the former pageant queen tells Us.

⚽️⚠️ UEFA says it will investigate the delay of the Champions League final that occurred because thousands of fans had purchased fake tickets that did not work at the entrance to the Stade de France.
🔎 “As numbers outside the stadium continued to build up after kick off, the police dispersed them with tear gas and forced them away from the stadium,” UEFA said on Saturday, adding that it was “sympathetic to those affected by these events and will further review these matters urgently."

🔻More than 30 people were killed in a stampede during an event organized by a new generation church in Port Harcourt, the capital of Nigeria's Rivers State, the Punch newspaper reported on Saturday, citing police.
The church in Port Harcourt organized an event to distribute gifts and food among the poor when the incident happened that resulted in 31 people killed, the newspaper reported, citing the acting spokesman for the state Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko.
"We need to make sure that we have sufficient new resources in place and operational before we let some of these retirements go," said Mark Rothleder, chief operating officer at the California ISO grid operator. "Otherwise, we are putting ourselves potentially at risk of having insufficient capacity."
