😞❌A 2-year-old boy has accidentally shot his father with a 9mm pistol in Orlando, Florida. The event occurred on May 26, and the Orange County police presented the conclusions of their investigation on Tuesday.

On the day of the events, the agents arrived at the house of Reggie Mabry, 26, and her partner, Marie Ayala, 28, after receiving an emergency call. The couple lived with three children aged 5 years, 2 years, and 5 months.

Ayala has been charged with manslaughter by culpable negligence and possession of a firearm by a felon, authorities announced Monday. Investigators with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office allege that Ayala negligently created a situation in which her toddler could get his hands on a gun and accidentally kill his father, 26-year-old Reggie Mabry. Ayala faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted of manslaughter in the May 26 shooting.

🦠💉American adults who haven’t yet gotten vaccinated against COVID-19 may soon get another choice, as advisers to the Food and Drug Administration on Tuesday backed a more traditional type of shot.

The FDA must decide whether to authorize the protein vaccine made by latecomer Novavax as the nation’s fourth coronavirus shot for adults. It’s made with more conventional technology than today’s dominant Pfizer and Moderna shots and the lesser-used Johnson & Johnson option.

Novavax shots are already available in Australia, Canada, parts of Europe, and multiple other countries, either for initial vaccinations or as mix-and-match boosters.

That mythical Spanish ship had been sunk by British corsairs off the coast of Cartagena de Indias in 1708 while it was transporting gold, silver, emeralds, and other riches from the Spanish colonies in South America to deliver them to King Felipe V.

In a new press conference called this Monday, Duque presented unpublished images of the shipwreck obtained at a depth of more than 1,000 meters by state-of-the-art recording equipment.

📲🔎The Supreme Court has asked the Biden administration to weigh in on if the court should hear a case involving WhatsApp and Israel’s NSO Group. The court asked the Justice Department to give an overview of what it thinks about the case on Monday.

In October 2019, WhatsApp sued the NSO group for allegedly accessing their servers six months earlier without permission. They then allegedly installed their Pegasus spyware on over 1,400 users’ phones, including journalists, human rights activists, and dissidents.

NSO Group argues that it is immune to lawsuits because it was acting as an agent for unidentified foreign governments. They said their actions should fall under “conduct-based immunity,” a common-law doctrine that protects foreign officials acting in their official capacity.

▪️ The Russian Armed Forces have hit an arms plant near Kharkov, which had been repairing and restoring tanks and other AFU armoured vehicles, using high-precision air-based missiles.

▪️ Operational-tactical airstrikes have hit 63 areas of AFU manpower and military equipment concentration.

▪️ Russian air defence units have shot down two Ukrainian Air Force MiG-29 warplanes near Snegirevka in Nikolaev Region, as well as one Mi-8 helicopter near Belaya Krinitsya in Nikolaev Region.

▪️ Missile and artillery strikes have hit 68 command posts, 172 AFU artillery positions, including two batteries of Smerch multiple-launch rocket systems near Aleksandrovka and Kutuzovka, one battery of Uragan MLRS near Kitsevka, Kharkov region, as well as 261 areas of AFU manpower and military equipment concentration.
