🗣James O’Neill, Australia-based barrister, slams the UK for greenlighting Julian Assange's extradition to the US.
"The Assange case is a classic example of double think by the West. His 'crime' was to tell the truth about the appalling US conduct of the war in Iraq, itself based on a lie of huge proportions. None of the soldiers caught by the video shooting civilians including journalists have ever been prosecuted by the Americans. It is yet another example of 'shoot the messenger' and let the perpetrators go free", O'Neill says.
He points out that the relentless persecution of the WikiLeaks publisher is meant to send a message to all independent journalists "that they publish the truth at their peril".
"The decision by the British is further confirmation of the extent to which the British are no more than lapdogs to the Americans".

"Assange has never been in the US and one of the great unanswered questions about his prosecution and planned deportation is what gave the US the right to even prosecute him. It is not a question that has troubled the British, but it does raise some serious issues about the rights of people to be free of persecution clearly mounted for political purposes to intimidate others from revealing the truth about US barbarity around the world", O'Neill adds.

👀 'If that's not child molestation, it is definitely close': Tucker Carlson blasts Joe Biden on his Fox News show over "horrifying" claims the POTUS shared a shower with his sex-addict daughter, Ashley, when she was young.
Carlson shared his horror over the revelation contained within Ashley Biden's private journal, ostensibly discovered by Florida resident Aimee Harris at a Palm Beach "halfway house" where Ashley Biden had stayed after treatment for her compulsive sexual urges.
Tucker Carlson also questioned why the FBI was investigating the alleged theft of a diary as it is not a federal crime, saying the president was effectively using the Feds as his secret police force.

🎥Seven staff members of “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” have been charged with unlawful entry after being detained by US Capitol Police following interviews with congressional lawmakers for a segment with Triumph the Insult Comic Dog.
“The building was closed to visitors, and these individuals were determined to be a part of a group that had been directed by the USCP to leave the building earlier in the day. CBS said: “After leaving the members’ offices on their last interview of the day, the production team stayed to film stand-ups and other final comedy elements in the halls when they were detained by Capitol Police".

🌳 The US will spend an additional $103 million this year for wildfire risk reduction and burned-area rehabilitation and is establishing an interagency wildland firefighter health and well-being program, Interior Secretary Deb Haaland announced Friday.
The US is having one of its worst starts to the wildfire season with more than 30,000 wildfires that have scorched 4,600 square miles (12,000 square kilometers).
About $80 million will be used to speed up work removing potential wildfire hazards on more than 3,000 square miles (7,700 square kilometers) of Interior Department lands, a 30% increase over last year. Another $20 million will be used to bolster post-wildfire landscape recovery.
