The new US $450 million military package for Ukraine includes HIMARS rocket systems, tens of thousands of additional rounds of ammunition, as well as patrol boats, National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby said on Thursday.
"The United States announced another additional $450 million worth of security assistance to Ukraine as part of our commitment to help Ukraine defend its democracy in the face of unprovoked Russian aggression," Kirby told a briefing.
"This package contains weapons and equipment, including new High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems, tens of thousands of additional rounds of ammunition for the artillery systems that have already been provided ... and patrol boats to help Ukraine defend its coast and its waterways."

It will also be a good resource for customers to figure out whether or not packages ever made it to their door, especially if they’ve gone missing.
FedEx says that the service will first be available for FedEx Delivery Manager users in “select markets” before launching to customers in the US and Canada in time for the holiday shipping season.

The Biden administration has started shipping monkeypox tests to commercial laboratories, in a bid to speed diagnoses for suspected infections for the virus that has already infected at least 142 people in the US.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is sending tests to labs, including Aegis Science, Labcorp, Mayo Clinic Laboratories, Quest Diagnostics and Sonic Healthcare, which it said would significantly expand the nation’s capacity to test for monkeypox. Previously, testing has largely been confined to public health labs, which combined have a capacity of about 8,000 tests per week.
Most people recover from monkeypox within weeks, but the disease is fatal for up to 1 in 10 people, according to the World Health Organization.

The new Federal-State Offshore Wind Implementation Partnership includes governors from Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island.
Biden plans to expand US offshore wind capacity from 42 megawatts today to 30,000 by 2030. That 2030 target should be enough clean energy capacity to power 10 million homes. Getting all this done will require between 12,300 and 49,000 full-time workers on average annually, according to the March report.

⛪ FBI raids Georgia churches near military bases
Two Georgia churches, one in Hinesville and another in the Augusta area were being raided by the FBI. Thursday morning, FBI agents and police officers swarmed the House of Prayer Church in the 2500 block of Airport Road around 8 am.
The church has been under fire throughout recent years for abuse allegations and manipulation of members. A protest was held outside the House of Prayer in May 2017 with former members alleging the church was actually a cult. “The concern is that he has made us merchandise. It’s no longer a church. It’s just a fraudulent, money-making empire. It used to be a church,” former church member Jenessa Wright said.
The FBI has not released a statement regarding the raids.
