😬The G7 leaders have been invoking the memory of Vladimir Putin at the summit in Germany and arguing whether they should undress.

"Jackets on? Jackets off?" Boris Johnson asked. "We all have to show that we're tougher than Putin," the beleaguered prime minister added, seemingly recalling the famous photos of the Russian president in Siberia.

"We're going to get the bare-chested horseback riding display," Canada's Justin Trudeau replied to the British prime minister.

🔎22 people found dead in South Africa bar: Police launched an investigation into the death of 22 people found at a popular township bar close to East London city.

“The circumstances under which they died are under investigation,”
Kinana said, adding it was too early to determine the cause of death of the young adults aged between 18 and 20 years.

The bodies will be transported to state mortuaries where relatives are expected to help identify the victims, said Siyanda Manana, a spokesperson for the Eastern Cape provincial health department.

“We are going to immediately be embarking on autopsies so we can know the probable cause of death,” he said. “We are talking 22 bodies right now.”

🚀Iranian State Media said Sunday that Tehran had launched a solid-fuel rocket into space, drawing a rebuke from Washington ahead of the expected resumption of stalled talks over Tehran's tattered nuclear deal with world powers.

It's unclear when or where the rocket was launched, but the announcement came after satellite photos showed preparations at Imam Khomeini Spaceport in Iran's rural Semnan province, the site of Iran's frequent failed attempts to put a satellite into orbit.

State-run media aired dramatic footage of the blastoff against the backdrop of heightened tensions over Tehran's nuclear program, which is racing ahead under decreasing international oversight. Iran had previously acknowledged that it planned more tests for the satellite-carrying rocket, which it first launched in February of last year.

🔥 In Reston, Virginia, a church was set on fire and vandalized on Sunday. The building was defaced with graffiti to display comments about the Supreme Courts' recent ruling overturning Roe v. Wade, according to Reston police.

The Fairfax County fire department arrived on the scene on Sunday morning, responding to a report of "smouldering mulch."

Fire personnel said they found an "accelerant" likely used in the fire and also found graffiti, spray-painted on a sign at the church's entrance. After the two discoveries, the fire department also called in the police for assistance. Officers have since announced that they are working with the staff of the church to review surveillance footage and continue to have increased patrols at places of worship.

🔷U.S. Rep. Mary Miller of Illinois, speaking at a rally Saturday night with former President Donald Trump, called the Supreme Court's decision overturning Roe v. Wade a “victory for white life.”

Miller's spokesman said the Illinois Republican had intended to say the decision was a victory for a “right to life." The line as delivered was out of step with the disproportionate impact the repeal of abortion rights will have on women of color.

Miller is running for reelection in the state’s newly redrawn 15th Congressional District against GOP Rep. Rodney Davis with the former president’s blessing. She had been invited on stage to speak by Trump, who held the rally in Mendon, Illinois, to turn out the vote ahead of the state’s Tuesday primary.
