Law enforcement authorities are probing an explosion that destroyed the Georgia Guidestones, a 19-foot high set of standing granite stones.
The monument has been the center of several conspiracy theories, including that the anonymous commissioners of the project were connected to the so-called "New World Order" and Satanic organizations.
An explanatory tablet included at the monument instructed readers to "let these be guidestones to an age of reason."

After arriving at theatres in the customary teenage garb of grubby sneakers and torn jeans and being allowed entry, they then change into the naughty outfit of a smart suit - right there in the cinema.
