Russia’s top diplomat had a chance to voice the country’s position on the discussed topics – namely the food crisis, blaming the West for provoking food shortages through the flawed implementation of the “green” agenda. Lavrov also added, that even though attempts are being made to position Russia as the nation responsible for problems for Ukrainian grain exports, Kiev only delivers 1% of the world’s grain, and Kiev authorities have to de-mine safe passages for ships carrying it, while Moscow is prepared to provide safe passage for these vessels.

😐 The Western countries have criticized Russia instead of discussing economic issues at the G20 ministerial meeting in Bali, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Friday.
🗯 "During the discussion, the Western partners avoided to follow the mandate of the Group of Twenty to address the global economy issues, and to reach agreements to find solutions related to sustainable development within the UN, and lost their train of thought once they started to criticize Russia amid the situation in Ukraine", Lavrov told reporters.
❓ The foreign minister went on to say that Russia raised several "hard-hitting questions" before the Western partners, but did not receive any answers.

😮 Texas Governor Greg Abbott has authorized his state’s National Guard and the Department of Public Safety to detain migrants who illegally cross the border between ports of entry and return them to US-Mexican border entry points.
▪️ The federal government is normally responsible for enforcement of immigration;
▪️ Governor Abbott stressed in an executive order announced on Thursday that while US President Joe Biden “refuses to do his job and enforce the immigration laws enacted by Congress, the State of Texas is once again stepping up and taking unprecedented action to protect Americans and secure” the US southern border.
▪️ The governor referred to the US Constitution, which he said stipulates that the country “shall protect each [State in this Union] against [a border] invasion.”
▪️ The US remains in the grip of a migration crisis, with Customs and Border Protection data revealing last month that the number of illegal migrants apprehended on the US southern border hit a third-consecutive monthly record high in May.
