Canada has been hit by protests and vandalism following the discovery of the unmarked graves of nearly 1,000 indigenous schoolchildren at the sites of former forced assimilation schools.
In the wake of Canada Day on 1 July, protesters vandalised 10 churches in Alberta, most of them Catholic. Another Catholic church was burned to the ground in Morinville on Wednesday, with authorities suggesting that the fire was the result of arson.
Protesting the grim discovery, people online are calling for both the church and Canada Day to be cancelled.
But could there be another solution?
