🏛President Biden has blasted a trio of Florida politicians --Gov. DeSantis, Sen. Marco Rubio, and Sen. Rick Scott-- on social media, blaming them for opposing an assault weapon ban and endangering cops.
“Leaders like Governor DeSantis, Senator Marco Rubio, and Senator Rick Scott are all opposed to banning assault weapons,” Biden tweeted. “And to me, it’s simple. If you can’t support banning weapons of war on America’s streets, you’re not on the side of the police.”
The offensive came after Sunshine State officials aimed at the Biden administration during a pair of high-profile GOP functions in Florida over the weekend.

🥵☀️Temperatures are predicted to soar to 100 degrees in Portland, Oregon on Tuesday, which is expected to be the hottest day of a heat spell that meteorologists believe will be unusually long for the Pacific Northwest region, which rarely sees such scorching weather.
“With many parts of Oregon facing a high heat wave, it is critical that every level of government has the resources they need to help keep Oregonians safe and healthy,” Oregon Gov. Kate Brown said in a statement.
As the northwestern U.S. heated up, the hot spell on the East Coast appeared to have broken, with few areas east of the Mississippi River under heat advisories on Tuesday.

🚙Volkswagen began production of its first electric vehicle assembled in the United States at a Tennessee plant Tuesday. In a news release, the German automaker said it plans to ramp up production in Chattanooga of the ID.4 electric compact SUV to 7,000 cars per month in the fourth quarter of this year, to increase that rate next year.
The kickoff comes after Volkswagen announced an $800 million investment in the company’s manufacturing of electric vehicles in North America at the Chattanooga plant in 2019, including facilities for vehicle and battery pack assembly. Volkswagen Chattanooga currently employs more than 4,000 people.
The start of production comes as America’s automakers aim to produce electric vehicles in the largest segment of the U.S. market: modest-sized SUVs, representing about 20% of new-vehicle sales.

🇨🇳🇺🇸US President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping will speak on Thursday, Bloomberg reported citing people familiar with the matter. White House national security spokesperson John Kirby told reporters Tuesday that managing economic competition between the two countries would also be a focus of the call.
It will be the fifth call between the leaders as China has delivered heightened warnings to the Biden administration about a possible visit by U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to democratically governed Taiwan, which Beijing claims as its territory.
"Everything from the tensions over Taiwan to the situation in Ukraine, as well as how we better manage competition between our two nations, certainly in the economic sphere," Kirby said of the topics to be discussed.
"This is a call that has been scheduled for a long time, and there's already a pretty robust agenda for these two leaders to talk about," he said.

🇨🇳The Huanan Seafood Market in Wuhan, China, was most likely the epicenter for the coronavirus, two research studies have proven
▪In the first study, researchers used mapping tools and social media reports for a spatial and environmental analysis. The scientists determined that the earliest COVID-19 cases were centered at the market among vendors who sold the infected live animals or people who shopped there
▪The other study takes a molecular approach. The scientists established the earliest forms of the virus: A and B. According to researchers, the first animal-to-human transmission probably happened around November 18, 2019, and it came from lineage B: this type was found only in people who had a direct connection to the Wuhan market. In its turn, lineage A was found in samples from humans who lived or stayed close to the market

Affair with Elon Musk is a lie?
📰On Sunday, the Wall Street Journal posted news that famous billionaire Elon Musk, 51, had slept with Sergey Brin's wife Nicole Shanahan, and was one of the reasons for Brin's divorce process.
▪Then, in order to disprove the newspaper's claim that the billionaire Tesla CEO and Sergey Brin were not on speaking terms because of Musk's apparent affair with Brin's wife, Elon tweeted a joint photo with Brin. What is more, Nicole Shanahan's lawyer also denied reports of his client’s affair with Elon Musk.
▪'Make no mistake, any suggestion that Nicole had an affair with Elon Musk is not only an outright lie but also defamatory,' attorney Bryan Freedman told the Daily Mail.
▪Brin and Shanahan are still in the process of finalizing their divorce.
How will the story end?
