▪ According to Politico, if Pelosi lands in Taipei, it means that the Pentagon has downgraded its assessment of a potential credible Chinese military threat to the speaker’s safety.

▪ According to Taiwanese media reports, Pelosi will stay in the Grand Hyatt Taipei Hotel for one night and the next morning she will hold meetings with the island’s leadership.
