However, the fact remains that the United States and its allies will use the Ukrainian playing card as an additional argument in favor of implementing their military plans not only on land, at sea and in the air, but also in space," Andrei Belousov said.

The diplomat suggested that Washington’s refusal to discuss legally binding means to prevent an arms race in outer space over the past decade-and-a-half “speaks for itself".

🔹Mary Williams, the 58-year-old wife of country music star Hank Williams Jr., died of a collapsed lung, a medical examiner ruled.

Heidi Reinhard, Associate Medical Examiner, wrote in her report that the lung collapsed "due to a perforated parietal pleura during liposuction with autologous fat reinjection procedure." Mrs. Williams died in Florida earlier this year, one day after having elective surgery.

Forensic investigator Jessica Baird wrote in her report that she contacted a detective with the Jupiter Police Department about the death of Williams on May 22 at 5:54 p.m. EDT.

The detective said Mrs. Williams came to Florida from Tennessee for the surgery with Dr. Herald Bafitis at Bafitis Plastic Surgery.

😢A 22-month-old boy riding in an SUV with his twin sister, mom, and grandmother was crushed to death when a concrete-mixing truck flipped off an overpass and landed on his family's vehicle in Houston, Texas.

The incident happened just before 2:30 p.m. Friday along Beltway 8 East and Woodforest Boulevard, where people working nearby were stunned to see the freak occurrence happen in front of them.

According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, the concrete mixer was heading southbound on the beltway when it began to rain. The truck then lost control on the slick roadway, crashed through a barrier wall, and flew off the overpass and toward the frontage road below.

In a moment of tragic timing, the heavy truck landed on an SUV going through the intersection. Despite the best efforts, the boy died at the scene. The women and the girl suffered only minor injuries, and they were taken to the hospital.

🇧🇷🔎Brazil's federal police on Saturday arrested five more men in an investigation into the murder of British journalist Dom Phillips and indigenous expert Bruno Pereira in the Amazon rainforest in June.

Police said in a statement that seven arrest warrants were issued for illegal fishing in the Vale do Javari region, the remote area close to the border with Colombia and Peru where Phillips and Pereira disappeared on June 5.

The region has been invaded by illegal fishermen, loggers, and gold miners. Police say it is a key drug trafficking route.

Phillips, a freelance reporter who wrote for the Guardian and the Washington Post, was doing research for a book on the trip with Pereira, a former head of isolated and recently contacted tribes at federal indigenous affairs agency Funai.

🔥A small town in the state of Washington was evacuated due to a fast-moving fire that burned a half-dozen homes as crews in California made progress against the state’s deadliest and largest wildfire of the year.

In Washington, the Adams County Sheriff’s Office said on Facebook early on Thursday afternoon that residents of Lind needed to flee due to the encroaching flames.

“At this time, all residents of the town of Lind need to evacuate immediately,” the sheriff’s office said in the post.

Later Thursday, Sheriff Dale Wagner said six homes had burned, and eight other structures had. With the help of state and local resources, Wagner said the fire was starting to calm down, and by evening all evacuation orders had been lifted.

⚡️⚡️A lightning strike killed two people and critically injured two others near the White House in Washington, DC, late on Thursday, local authorities have said.

The Washington Metropolitan Police Department said James Mueller, 76, and Donna Mueller, 75, of Wisconsin, died of injuries after the lightning strike in Lafayette Park, directly outside the White House complex.

The two other people – a man and a woman – remain in critical condition, the police department said, without identifying them. DC Fire and EMS had said that US Park Police and uniformed Secret Service agents, tasked with protecting the White House, had helped render aid to the four victims after the lightning strike.

Washington endured thunderstorms on Thursday after a spike in temperatures this week.

🔎Tesla started offering the Autopilot and Full Self-Driving features in 2014, greatly increasing the vehicle maker’s popularity. The California DMV has accused Tesla of falsely advertising its “Autopilot” and “Full Self-Driving” features.

The DMV says that Tesla misled customers into thinking that the cars are fully autonomous and more capable than they are. The DMV says the names are misleading and that Tesla exacerbated the issue with misleading claims on its website.

The DMV says that the cars could not, and still cannot, “operate as autonomous vehicles.”
If the complaint succeeds, the DMV could revoke Tesla’s license to sell its cars in California, although it is unlikely they will go that far. While Tesla does include warnings that drivers of its cars are required to keep their hands on the wheel and are not fully autonomous, the DMV contends that does not erase the misleading claims and names of the features.
