US President Joe Biden has asked a US court to dismiss his predecessor Donald Trump’s case against Chinese social video app TikTok and its parent ByteDance, a court document showed on Monday.

The Trump Organization has removed Allen Weisselberg as an officer at some of the organization’s subsidiaries amid allegations from New York prosecutors for tax evasion.

The Trump Payroll Corp. used to list Weisselberg as treasurer, director, vice president and secretary on its business documents, but now the former president’s sons - Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump - are listed in those roles on the Florida Division of Corporations records.

All the websites associated with the cybercriminal group REvil are down, CNBC reported citing multiple sources on Tuesday.

Last week, the White House said the US would take action against REvil in response to the ransomware attack against the IT management software company Kaseya, which affected a number of US companies.

Unrest in South Africa, sparked by the detention of former President Jacob Zuma on July 7, has escalated into looting and vandalism.

President Cyril Ramaphosa said in a national address on Monday evening that the protests would soon lead to shortages in food and medicine if they didn’t stop, and had already interrupted the country’s vaccination program.
😳 Two detained Americans who were reportedly involved in the assassination of the Haitian president, were working for American agencies as informants, sources told CNN on Monday.

One of them was said to have worked for the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

“Following the assassination of President Moise, the suspect reached out to his contacts at the DEA”, CNN reports the agency as saying. “A DEA official assigned to Haiti urged the suspect to surrender to local authorities and, along with a US State Department official, provide information to the Haitian government to help in the surrender and arrest of the suspect and one other individual.”

Responding to reports that some of the murderers were shouting “DEA” during the attack, the agency claimed that no one acted on its behalf.

“Our teams have recovered an additional victim. The number of confirmed deaths is now 95,” mayor of Miami-Dade County Daniella Levine Cava said during a press briefing. “Eighty-five of these victims have been identified.”
