▶️Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney was criticized by Republicans and conservatives after she compared herself to Abraham Lincoln in her concession speech following Tuesday’s primary loss.

“Now the real work begins,” she said in an election night concession speech in Wyoming, summoning the legacy of both Abraham Lincoln and his Civil War-era military and presidential successor Ulysses Grant in her campaign against Trump.

“I will be doing whatever it takes to keep Donald Trump out of the Oval Office,” Cheney told NBC’s “Today” show early Wednesday. Pressed, she said that running for president “is something I’m thinking about, and I’ll make a decision in the coming months.”

Whether she runs or not, her belief that Trump poses a danger to democracy is a conviction that runs deep in her family.

🔎Rudy Giuliani faced hours of questioning Wednesday before a special grand jury in Atlanta as a target of an investigation into attempts by former President Donald Trump and others to overturn his 2020 election defeat in Georgia.

Citing grand jury secrecy, the former New York City mayor and Trump attorney left the Fulton County courthouse without commenting to reporters roughly six hours after the special grand jury convened Wednesday as part of a rapidly escalating investigation that has ensnared several Trump allies.

Giuliani’s questioning took place behind closed doors, as grand jury proceedings are secret. Swarmed by news cameras Wednesday morning as he stepped out of a black SUV at the courthouse steps, Giuliani said he didn’t plan to talk about his testimony.

“Grand juries, as I recall, are secret,” said Giuliani, who came to court with his attorney, Robert Costello. “They ask the questions, and we’ll see.”

▪️The death of American actress Anne Heche was officially declared accidental after being behind the wheel of a car that crashed into a house at a speed of 140 kilometers per hour in Los Angeles, California, on August 5.

The Los Angeles County medical examiner ruled Wednesday that the 53-year-old artist died of smoke inhalation, burn injuries, and a "sternum fracture due to blunt trauma." These types of fractures are common in people who hit their chest with a steering wheel in traffic accidents.

The violent crash that the actress starred in destroyed much of a two-story house in the Mar Vista neighborhood of Los Angeles, and the vehicle ended up engulfed in flames. Dozens of firefighters battled the blaze that raged for more than an hour. According to the police, the car was going so fast that it left the road and burned when it hit the building, causing severe burns to Heche.

🎵🎶Bad Bunny has jumped on the trend of releasing clothing with no gender label, and his latest magazine cover proves it. In what will be the September edition of Harper's Bazaar -the United States version- he shows himself in an impressive double-cut white dress with lower transparency, causing a stir on social media.

Although the singer has distinguished himself for his controversial but successful reggaeton songs, his peculiar fashion style has been a frequent target of criticism, debates, and avant-garde proposals that have positioned him as one of the favorite Latin artists in music magazines and is internationally recognized in the beauty industry.

This is not the first time the Puerto Rican is the protagonist of a magazine cover, wearing unique dresses and skirts.
