✉️ Time for the federal cannabis law to catch up
A group of US Senate Democrats in a statement announced plans to introduce legislation to end the federal prohibition of marijuana.
The proposed legislation would also remove federal non-violent marijuana crimes and allow individuals currently serving time in federal prison for non-violent marijuana crimes to petition a court for re-sentencing, the release said.
🗣 "As more and more states legalize marijuana, it's time for our federal cannabis law to catch up," said the Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. "We also very much believe in the expungement of records because of the historical overcriminalization ... Let these people become productive citizens without that criminal record."

📚 A new book "I Alone Can Fix It" claims Trump made top military officials fear 'coup', called Merkel 'b**ch'
According to the book, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Mark Milley, had been preparing a plan in the event that Trump attempted a coup after losing the 2020 election and felt he had to be "on guard" for the possible threat, while paralleling the ex-president's rhetoric with that of Adolph Hitler.
"This is a Reichstag moment," Milley reportedly told aides. "The gospel of the Führer."
The tome also mentioned Trump's relations with prominent female figures such as German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
"That b*tch Merkel", Trump would describe the Chancellor to his aides. "'I know the f**king krauts', the president added, using a derogatory term for German soldiers from World War I and World War II", the book read. "Trump then pointed to a framed photograph of his father, Fred Trump, displayed on the table behind the Resolute Desk and said, 'I was raised by the biggest kraut of them all.'"

🤔 If you don't like it – drop a bomb on it?
Miami Mayor Francis Suarez has raised some eyebrows as he proposed a brute force solution to the recent protests in Cuba – to just bomb it.
As Suarez puts it, Cuba poses a danger to the US, and in the past bombing and invading other countries worked well for the US.
The Miami mayor recalled America's interventions in other states: specifically Kosovo, where NATO strikes killed between 1,200 and 5,700 civilians and left the country in ruins, and Panama, where its forces removed dictator and CIA asset Manuel Noriega from power after it turned out he was leaking intelligence to other powers.
Suarez stressed that Panama had turned into a peaceful democracy following the American intervention, conveniently ignoring other cases of US military meddling, such as Libya and Iraq with Afghanistan seemingly heading in the same direction.

Despite massive Voter Fraud and Irregularities during the 2020 Presidential Election Scam, that we are now seeing play out in very big and important States, I never threatened, or spoke about, to anyone, a coup of our Government. So ridiculous! Sorry to inform you, but an Election is my form of "coup," and if I was going to do a coup, one of the last people I would want to do it with is General Mark Milley. He got his job only because the world’s most overrated general, James Mattis, could not stand him, had no respect for him, and would not recommend him. To me the fact that Mattis didn’t like him, just like Obama didn’t like him and actually fired Milley, was a good thing, not a bad thing. I often act counter to people's advice who I don’t respect.
In any event, I lost respect for Milley when we walked together to St. John’s Church (which was still smoldering from a Radical Left fire set the day before), side by side, a walk that has now been proven to be totally appropriate—and the following day Milley choked like a dog in front of the Fake News when they told him they thought he should not have been walking with the President, which turned out to be incorrect. He apologized profusely, making it a big story, instead of saying I am proud to walk with and protect the President of the United States. Had he said that, it would have all been over, no big deal, but I saw at that moment he had no courage or skill, certainly not the type of person I would be talking “coup” with. I’m not into coups!
In fact, around the same time Milley, in a conversation, was an advocate of changing all of the names of our Military Forts and Bases. I realized then, also, he was a much different person than I had hoped. I said to him, “spend more time thinking about China and Russia, and less time on being politically correct.”
But never during my Administration did Milley display what he is showing now. He was not “woke.” Actually, I don’t believe he ever was, but the way I look at Milley, he’s just a better politician than a general, trying to curry favor with the Radical Left and the absolute crazy people espousing a philosophy which will destroy our Country!

“You never knew when she was going to snap at you”
Former staffers of vice-president Kamala Harris said they were not surprised by reports of a tense atmosphere in her office, revealed by Business Insider on Wednesday.
Some of Harris’ staffers told the news outlet that she was ostensibly "unpredictable and at times demeaning" in the early 2000s, and one of her former aides when she served as California's Attorney General (between 2011 and 2017) pointed to "a sense of paranoia in that office, that you never knew when she was going to snap at you".
Last month, a report by Politico suggested that the atmosphere in the US vice-president's office leaves much to be desired, alleging also that Harris' chief of staff seems to be the problem.

👉👈 Can we still be friends?
US President Joe Biden expressed his hope that the US-Germany friendship will continue after German Chancellor Angela Merkel leaves office.
"One of the things that I want to talk about is the enduring friendship the Chancellor has been so responsible for nailing down and making sure it continues," Biden said during a meeting with Merkel in the Oval Office.
This is the first time Merkel has visited the White House during Biden's presidency, and is also likely her final official trip to the United States as the German chancellor.
