❗An update from Russia’s MoD:

▪️Russian forces performed concentrated strikes on combat positions of the Ukrainian 25th Airborne Brigade and 101st Territorial Defense Brigade. As a result, more than fifty Ukrainian neo-Nazis were eliminated and nine Ukrainian armored vehicle and motor vehicle units were destroyed.

▪️Due to heavy combat losses, Ukrainian service personnel from the 53rd Mechanized Brigade and the 3rd Mechanized Brigade left their positions and withdrew from battle areas in the DPR and in Kharkov region.

▪️Russian forces hit nine Ukrainian command posts in the DPR, Kherson, Kharkov and Nikolaev regions.

▪️Russian forces destroyed five missile and artillery weapons and ammunition depots in the DPR, Nikolaev, Kherson, and Zaporozhye regions. In addition, one fuel storage facility Golitsinovo in the Nikolaev region and one Ukrainian S-300 anti-aircraft missile system in the Kharkov region have been destroyed by Russian forces.

▪️Three Ukrainian platoons of Grad multiple-launch rocket systems as well as two Ukrainian platoons of D-30 howitzers and two platoons of Giatsint-B guns have been suppressed by the Russian forces as a part of counter-battery warfare.

▪️Russian anti-aircraft weaponry destroyed six Ukrainian UAVs and intercepted one Tochka-U ballistic missile, as well as six HIMARS and Olha rockets.

▪️ The police detained dozens of local residents who were opposing the monument’s demolition.

▪️ The destruction of the monument to the soldiers-liberators of Riga and Latvia is unacceptable for a civilized country and leads to the further degradation of relations between Moscow and Riga, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said earlier.

🇺🇸US Approves $1.95 billion sale of Black Hawk helicopters to Australia, Bloomberg reports.

The potential sale of 40 Black Hawk helicopters estimated to be worth $1.95 billion has been approved by the US Department of State after the Australian government made a request in 2021 to replace its MRH90 Taipan helicopters due to ongoing performance issues.

The US believes that the sale will support “the foreign policy and national security objectives of the US”.

🗯️“It is vital to the US to assist our ally in developing and maintaining a strong and ready self-defense capability,” the US Security Cooperation Agency said, commenting on the sale.

The story relates to The New York Post alleged leaking of emails from Hunter Biden's laptop which included details of Hunter introducing a Ukrainian energy tycoon to his father and arranging a meeting.
