😐 According to British columnist Simon Jenkins, the new UK prime minister chose to get rid of experienced civil servants who hold views different from her own. As such, Truss fired the head of the treasury and national security adviser in the first days on the job.

😵‍💫 Blue Origin attempted its first uncrewed New Shepard flight in a year, with the NS-23 mission launching on Monday morning.

▪️ As the company’s fourth flight this year, the suborbital launch took place from Launch Site One at Blue Origin’s Corn Ranch property near Van Horn, Texas.

▪️ Just over one minute into the flight, an apparent failure in the booster prompted an in-flight abort of the capsule. While the booster was not recovered, the capsule was pushed to safety by its abort motor and made a successful landing under parachutes.

▪️ According to US journalists, Washington fears that the countries of the European Union may change their position on Russia and the conflict in Ukraine amid the energy crisis, which will lead to a split between the United States and the Old Continent.
