⚡️New York Attorney General files lawsuit against Trump, his children.

“The lawsuit alleges that Donald Trump, with the help of his children Donald Trump Jr, Ivanka Trump and Eric Trump, and senior executives of the Trump Organization, falsely inflated his net worth by billions of dollars to induce banks to lend money to the Trump Organization on more favorable terms than would otherwise have been available to the company, to satisfy continuing loan covenants, induce insurers to provide insurance coverage for higher limits and lower premiums, and to gain tax benefits, among other things.” The Attorney General said in a statement.

❗️More than 200 whales have been discovered stranded on a remote beach on Tasmania’s west coast, Australia

Authorities are still investigating what caused the whales to beach on a sandflat at the entrance to Macquarie Harbour, the same remote location where Australia's worst stranding occurred two years ago.

To keep the animals alive,
local residents have been covering the stranded whales with blankets and pouring buckets of water over them to try to keep them alive.

If Donbass, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions become part of Russia, it will send a message to NATO: "Watch out, you're attacking Russian territory now!" Jim Jatras, former US diplomat and former senior foreign policy advisor to the Senate Republican leadership says on the upcoming referendums.

💬"I think one of the key things here that people have not focused on is that if these areas then do become part of the Russian Federation, like Crimea did, it's essentially to say to NATO, which is taking an increasingly visible role in this, that 'Watch out, you're attacking Russian territory now!'.... I think there are very credible reports that a lot of these personnel are not Ukrainians, there are a lot of Poles, maybe Americans, British, people from other NATO countries."

As the US President Joe Biden who addressed the UN GA has accused Russia of violating the UN charter by launching a special military operation in Ukraine, some experts point at the fact that America itself does not practice what it preaches when it comes to International law. I spoke with Christopher C. Black, international criminal lawyer with 20 years of experience in war crimes and international relations, and a commentator on international affairs, who says that the US is the "prime criminal and violator" of the UN charter.

🇺🇳 Urgent action needed for food security

Leaders from Europe, the Americas and Africa called Tuesday for urgent action and funding to ease a growing global food security crisis that has been exacerbated by Ukraine conflict and, thanks to climate change, threatens to get worse in coming years.

Last week, the UN food chief warned the world is facing “a global emergency of unprecedented magnitude,” with up to 345 million people marching toward starvation.

David Beasley, executive director of the UN World Food Program, told the UN Security Council that the number is 2½ times the number of acutely food-insecure people before the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020, and that there is a real risk of “multiple famines” this year.
