🙄 The dramatic story of Twitter's purchase by Elon Musk may soon be resolved, as the billionaire and the tech giant are on their way to reaching an agreement, so they may end their court battle in the coming days, Reuters reported on Wednesday night, citing a source close to the matter.

▪️ In a bid to cease the litigation, both sides agreed to postpone the billionaire's deposition in court scheduled for Thursday, the agency added - however, according to judge Kathaleen McCormick, Musk and Twitter are yet to file an official stipulation and reach the accord.

▪️ Previously, the social media platform said that Musk announced his intention to close the transaction at $54.20 per share ($44 billion total).

▪️ Commenting on the NYT article suggesting Ukrainian authorities were behind the murder of Daria Dugina and acted without the knowledge of US curators, Peskov said that the involvement of the Ukrainian state in the murder of Dugina had been established almost immediately and expressed hope that this publication is not an attempt to absolve the US of responsibility for future terrorist attacks;

▪️ Peskov said that Moscow received information through diplomatic channels that so far there are no plans to involve it in the investigation of the terrorist attacks on the Nord Stream pipelines;

▪️ Peskov considers OPEC+ to be a responsible organization that stands for stabilization in the global energy markets;

▪️ Peskov called a publication stating that almost 700 thousand citizens had allegedly left Russia after the announcement of partial mobilization essentially 'fake'.

▪️ Two Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups have been eliminated by Russian artillery fire in the Kharkov region.

▪️ Allied forces offensive has resulted in the liberation of Zaytsevo in the DPR.

▪️ Attacks launched by Russian Aerospace Forces in the DPR have resulted in the elimination of up to 60 servicemen, 2 tanks and 5 motor vehicles.

▪️ Operational-tactical and army aviation, missile troops and artillery have neutralized 9 AFU command posts as well as 63 artillery units at their firing positions, in addition to 173 manpower and military equipment concentration areas.

▪️ Russian Aerospace Forces have shot down two Ukrainian Air Force planes.

▪️ Russian Air defense facilities have destroyed 9 Ukrainian UAVs.

▪️ Some 315 airplanes and 157 helicopters, 2,160 unmanned aerial vehicles, 379 air defense missile systems, 5,412 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 862 combat vehicles equipped with MLRS, 3,452 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 6,316 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed during the special military operation.

The statement comes after Matvienko held a meeting with Indonesian President Joko Widodo on the sidelines of the G20 summit.

❗️Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz ordered the IDF to be on alert, including preparations for defensive and offensive actions, on the border with Lebanon in light of a possible escalation, the ministry's press service reported.

The minister’s situational assessment with the IDF chief of staff and other security officials has come after Israel says
that it will not accept Lebanese amendments to a US-brokered deal.

💬The Defense Minister directed the IDF to prepare for a scenario of escalation in the north, both offensively and defensively, given the developments in the negotiations on the maritime border,” a statement from Gantz’s office explained.

Previously, Lebanon proposed the demarcation of the common maritime border, including separation of the border offshore gas fields.

💡Millions of households in the UK could face three-hour blackouts this winter, the National Grid, which is responsible for the UK's gas and electricity supply, said. It also warned that there might not be enough power for the country if the energy crisis continues.

British households will be paid to turn down their heating at peak times in order to prevent planned power cuts. They could get around £10 per day for turning down their appliances, with details due to be revealed at the beginning of November.
