🇸🇦 The decision of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) to decrease oil production by two million barrels per day was "purely economic" and was taken unanimously, Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud said on Tuesday.

▪️ Last week, OPEC+ announced that the alliance agreed to cut oil production by two million barrels per day from November and will take production levels agreed for August as a reference point. The move was made in response to uncertainty in global oil market outlooks, in part caused by Western sanctions on Russian energy deliveries and the G7 plans to introduce a price cap on Russian crude. The decision received backlash from the United States, which demanded an increase in production to battle rising domestic prices.

🇷🇺 🇹🇷 The Turkish Energy Ministry has reacted to the Russian President's proposal to create a gas hub in Turkey, saying that the issue should be studied in detail, adding that it’s technically possible.

🇷🇺 Russian President Vladimir Putin has been invited to the G20 summit, as well as a number of other events in November, Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov said on Wednesday, adding that the format of Putin’s participation in the G20 meeting will be known soon.

💬 “For some reason, we are only talking about the G20, but a large number of international forums are planned for November. I can remind you: November 11-13 East Asia summit, November 15-16 G20 summit, then November 18-19 APEC summit in Bangkok. And on November 23, the CSTO summit will take place in Yerevan. There are a lot of events, and Putin received an invitation to all these events," Ushakov told reporters.

🇵🇱 Poles seek US nuclear weapons on their soil.

▪️ Over half the population of Poland think that the US should station nuclear weapons in the country to deter Moscow from using nukes against Ukraine, according to an IBRiS survey. Polish President Andrzej Duda has reportedly already raised the issue with Washington.

▪️ The survey shows that 54.1 percent of respondents believe that Poland should participate in NATO’s “nuclear sharing” program, which allows Washington to station its nuclear arsenal in countries that do not have their own. 29.5 per cent were against joining, while others refrained from answering.

⚡️ The White House’s new national security strategy views China as the “most consequential geopolitical challenge” to the United States, even more so than Russia, according to the document released on Wednesday.

▪️ The strategy recognizes that "the PRC presents America’s most consequential geopolitical challenge,” National Security Council Jake Sullivan said in a press conference.

▪️ The document added that “Russia poses an immediate and ongoing threat to the regional security order in Europe and it is a source of disruption and instability globally but it lacks the across the spectrum capabilities of the PRC.”

🇺🇸 The White House has released President Biden’s National Security Strategy.

▪️ Its two reported goals are to protect US citizens and their economic opportunities;

▪️ The US intends to "compete effectively" with China and contain "dangerous Russia";

▪️ China is assigned the status of "the most serious geopolitical challenge";

▪️ The possibility of "peaceful coexistence" with China is allowed, its decisive contribution to the world economy and the solution of global problems are recognized, an interest in maintaining peace in the Taiwan Strait is indicated, as is adherence to the One-China policy;

▪️ In relations with Russia, it was decided to be guided by a pragmatic approach to interaction in areas where it is mutually beneficial, while it is said that Russia's behavior in the Arctic carries the risks of unintentional conflict, the United States intends to strengthen partnerships with allies in the region;

▪️ The United States claims to not seek conflicts or a new Cold War, nor the development of competition between countries into the formation of "hard blocs";

▪️ The US is interested in maintaining strategic stability and creating transparent arms control mechanisms to replace START-3.
