A year has passed since a massive explosion in the Lebanese capital Beirut killed over 200 people and injured 7,000 others. The blast has displaced about 300,000 residents and caused widespread destruction, damaging buildings up to 20km away.

Former President Donald Trump has challenged a court order to hand over his tax returns to a House committee. In a court filing Wednesday, Trump's lawyers argue that the House requests for the documents "were made to retaliate against President Trump."

🤬A pro-police non-profit organisation in South Florida is accusing Facebook of refusing to promote its advertisements for an upcoming fundraising event. This event is for the families of officers who died in the line of duty, as well as children in underserved areas of the community.

"This ad was incorrectly flagged as political and taken down for running without a disclaimer, so we have reversed that decision. Our enforcement is never perfect since machines and human reviewers make mistakes, but we're always working to improve," a Facebook spokesperson said.

🏕David Lidstone, 81, aka "River Dave” to boaters and kayakers, has lived alone in the woods of New Hampshire for almost three decades. But now his off-the-grid existence appears to be at risk, as Lidstone has been arrested for squatting for 27 years on private property in Canterbury.

"He’s just a really, really, big caring guy, and just chooses to live off the grid. It really is about humanity, it really is about compassion, empathy ... he’s not hurting anybody," kayaker Jodie Gedeon said. She befriended River Dave about 20 years ago, and now she is working with other supporters to help him, including organising a petition and collecting money to cover property taxes.

📺 A very interesting story is developing with the well-known channel CNN.

Chris Cuomo, one of CNN's most recognizable faces, and brother of infamous Governor Andrew Cuomo, appears to have been involved in "strategic calls" to help quell the growing scandal surrounding his brother.

Chris drafted a statement for Andrew in response to the allegations on Feb. 28, the day New York Attorney General announced her investigation.

The question for CNN is: why is the journalist involved in a scandal of this magnitude still not fired?
