Traffic Jam: Chinese Academics Find Starlink Satellites Routinely Break Space Safety Rules

Elon Musk has laid out plans to launch tens of thousands of small satellites into orbit to facilitate the Starlink global high-speed internet service, but the proposal has raised eyebrows of many space-faring countries, including the US military.

A study recently published in the Chinese peer-reviewed journal Radio Engineering has determined SpaceX routinely disregarded some of the basic rules of orbital safety with its Starlink satellites. If China doesn’t follow suit, it risks being left behind in the rapidly accelerating new space race.

There is no evidence that Tehran intends to develop nuclear weapons, reviewing its participation in the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), Vladimir Yermakov, director of the Russian Foreign Ministry's Non-Proliferation and Arms Control Department, said in an interview with Sputnik.

Firearm-related deaths are the highest they have been in the United States in nearly 30 years, newly released data has revealed

A study released Tuesday by JAMA Network Open has detailed that there were 1,110,421 deaths caused by firearms between 1990 and 2021, a figure that accounts for intentional and accidental deaths as well as suicides and homicides.

According to the study, gun deaths in the United States reached a low of 10 per 100,000 people in 2004, but by 2021 that number had risen more than 45% to 14.7 deaths per 100,000 people. The study showed a 40% increase in homicides and a 17% increase in suicides compared to 2004 levels.

🔭A team of researchers has discovered at least two new minerals never before seen on Earth in a 15-ton meteorite found two years ago in Somalia.

▪️The minerals were detected from a tiny piece of that meteorite, barely 70 grams, which was sent to the University of Alberta (Canada) for research.

▪️It is believed that there is a possibility of finding even more minerals if enough samples are obtained, said Chris Herd, a professor at the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences and curator of the Meteorite Collection.

Washington's Approach Could Destroy Ukrainian State, Ex-Pentagon Adviser Macgregor Says

Col. Douglas MacGregor, a former senior adviser to then-US Defense Secretary Christopher Miller, thinks that Washington's approach to the conflict in Ukraine can destroy the Ukrainian state. In addition, he said: "It will also demolish the last vestiges of the postwar liberal order and produce a dramatic shift in power and influence across Europe, especially in Berlin, away from Washington to Moscow and, to a limited extent, to Beijing."

MacGregor also believes that the US actions will lead to an increase in Russian military power after the end of the conflict in Ukraine - the opposite result from what Washington expected.

▪️ Belogorovka and Pershe Travnya in the DPR have been fully liberated.

▪️ Three Ukraine Armed Forces company tactical groups, reinforced with tanks, unsuccessfully tried to attack Russian positions in the LPR near Krasniy Liman .

▪️ The Operational-Tactical and Army Aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery have neutralised 97 AFU artillery units in firing positions, manpower and military equipment in 157 areas.

▪️ A large warehouse of missile and artillery weapons of the Ukraine Armed Forces Khortitsa group of troops, where HIMARS, MLRS, Uragan and barrage munitions have been stored, has been destroyed near Dnepropetrovsk.
