🇿🇦 🇩🇪 South Africa’s Ambassador to Russia accused Germany of double standards in the wake of Berlin’s calls to resume coal mining
🗣 “The Germans are quite aggressively pursuing their policy in the search for new markets. They came to South Africa to discuss energy transition issues. At the same time, they themselves increased coal imports from South Africa on a huge scale,” South African Ambassador to Russia Mzuvukile Maqetuka said. “Despite the fact that we still have large reserves of coal enough for 200 years, we have closed most of the mines. And now our government is under pressure to resume coal mining. European countries are doing this too, they are opening frozen mines.”
📌 In early December, Germany’s Minister of Economy Robert Habeck went to South Africa and Namibia to meet the two African countries' leaders and discuss energy supplies, cooperation in the field of hydrogen, decarbonization and business growth. The minister also took part at the German-African Business Summit held in Johannesburg this week.

Kosovo Police Occupy Dam, Rip Up Serbian Flag, Threaten Locals at Gunpoint as Tensions Surge
The Kosovar Albanian police deployment comes amid a deterioration of the security situation in Kosovo in recent days, sparked by the detention of an ethnic Serb police officer on "terrorism" charges after he and several of his colleagues quit Kosovo’s police force in protest of Pristina’s discriminatory laws. Chinese Nukes in Quebec: Peter Hitchens Breaks Down NATO-Russia Crisis in Way Americans Can 'Get' It
💬 “During the whole Cold War I never really believed we were in danger. The Cuban crisis, which slightly overshadowed preparations for my 11th birthday, persuaded me that everyone would have more sense. I thought and think that TV dramas about a nuclear Armageddon, such as the BBC’s The War Game and the American The Day After, were unconvincing. They couldn’t come up with a believable reason for a war to start. But now it seems entirely plausible,” a British journalist and author Peter Hitchens said.
