🇷🇺 Vladimir Putin signed two bills into law on Thursday in a bid to tighten control over foreign investment in organizations of strategic importance for the national security.

The package, published on the official website for legal information, details the clearance process for transactions between foreign organizations and sensitive businesses in Russia, including purchases of more than a quarter of stock.

The new laws also require the government to clear any deal that would give an externally controlled business access to Russia's biological resources in the excess of 35% of the allowed catch. The list of resources is subject to the government's approval.

Denmark Swept by Wave of Suicide Attempts Among Children

According to recent statistics, four Danish children try to commit suicide every day — a grim detail on the shining image of the country that ranks among the world’s happiest.

An overview of suicide attempts among children and juveniles until the age of 14 compiled by the Danish Health Data Agency has sparked a national debate about children’s mental health as it turned out that suicide attempts in the said age group have become more frequent.

While in 2020, boys in the age group attempted suicide 111 times, that number rose to 187 in 2021. Among girls, the situation is way bleaker. In 2020, they attempted suicide 724 times. Last year, the number rose to 1,267.

The United States is considering including Bradley Fighting Vehicles in a future US military assistance package for Ukraine, US media reported.

A final decision to send the Bradleys to Ukraine has not been made, the report indicated, also noting that it remained unclear as to when said vehicles would even be operational.

A swirl of dust rose from the base of the pyramid El Castillo all the way to the sky as the twister danced along the side of the ancient temple. The astonishing event took place in the Mayan city of Chichen Itza, in Mexico's south-eastern state of Yucatan.

🐍 The temple was built between the eighth and 12th centuries and its ancient Mayan name was Kukulcan - the deity who appeared in the form of a feathered serpent (feathered serpents decorate the base of the temple) - and some tourists at the archaeological site were convinced that the whirlwind was Kukulcan making an appearance, so supernatural was the experience. Others compared the phenomenon with the archaeoastronomical event "The Feathered Serpent", which is seen every spring equinox
