James Webb Telescope Exposes Dawn of Universe Galactic Features
The images supplied by the telescope may lead to changes in the existing theoretical models of galactic evolution.
NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope has procured yet another set of spectacular images from outer space, capturing sights from several billion years ago.
The new images depict two galaxies, EGS-23205 and EGS-24268, featuring the so-called stellar bars which are “elongated features of stars stretching from the centers of galaxies into their outer disks,” according to a press release by the University of Texas at Austin.

🇺🇸🇨🇦 US President Joe Biden and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will gather in Mexico City this week to meet with Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO) for their first summit since late 2021. It also marks the first time a US leader has visited Mexico in nearly a decade.
▪️ Climate change, drug trafficking, and immigration issues will most likely be the focus of the North American Summit as Biden, who is now entering his third year as president, has been heavily criticized on immigration issues by both Democrats and Republicans. US Customs and Border Protection reported a record-breaking number of nearly 2.4 million border encounters just last year.
▪️ The "three amigos" will have to discuss more than immigration, though, as an array of other difficult issues will also be on the table, including the heavy flow of fentanyl across the US border which killed more than 100,000 people in 2021 alone.

Swedish PM on Stalled NATO Bid: Turkey Wants Things Stockholm ‘Cannot Give’
In May 2022, Sweden and neighboring Finland broke with decades of military non-alignment and applied to join the US-led alliance, citing a change in their security landscape following Russia's special operation in Ukraine.
Despite the considerable lengths Stockholm has gone to in its attempts to please Turkey, Ankara has time and again stressed that more was needed to win its full backing for Sweden’s NATO bid. Turkey has made some demands that Sweden cannot meet, the Nordic nation’s Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson has said.

🚘 While car owners in countries like Canada are still cautious about purchasing an electric vehicle, it's not the case with Southeast Asian buyers.
In December Porsche has announced that Thailand has proved to be the "second biggest" market after Norway for electric Cayenne models.
Almost three quarters of Porsche's sales in Thai Kingdom in 2021 were hybrid Cayenne SUVs, with 1500 cars being sold compared to 670 a year earlier. The company has focused on Southeast Asian market in a big way, opening an assembly plant in Malaysia, which produces Porsche Cayenne models locally.
ℹ️ When it comes to Southeast Asia EV sales in Q3 of 2022, Thailand is well ahead of other nations, with 59.2% share of the market, followed by Indonesia with 25.2% and Singapore with 11.8%.
According to Counterpoint analysis, the region's EV sales grew by 35% YoY in Q3 2022 with Research Analyst Abhilash Gupta noting that “although the passenger EV sales in SEA are small compared to other regions, the demand is gradually increasing."
🤔 As I was covering the recent G20, ASEAN and APEC summits, I noticed how much attention is being paid in the ASEAN countries to promotion of electric vehicles, and not only to cars.
▪️G20 motorcades at the Bali Summit in Indonesia had electric-powered Hyundai Ioniqs
▪️While many G20 venues in Bali's Nusa Dua were off-limits for gasoline-powered taxis, EV cabs were given green light
▪️Electric delivery scooters with battery exchange network were showcased at the APEC media center in Bangkok
