🌍📈 Based on the data of the African Development Bank, Africa’s economic growth in 2024 will reach 3.9 percent, well up on the EU's 1.6 percent and US' 1.5 percent as forecast by the European Commission and the Congressional Budget Office respectively.

East Africa and West Africa are expected to be the sub-regions with the fastest-growing economies on the continent at 5.4 percent and 4.3 percent respectively. The predicted fastest-growing national economy in 2023–2024 is predicted to be Libya (12.9 percent), followed by Niger (9.6 percent) and Senegal (9.4 percent).

With its young population and rich natural resources, Africa is one of the world’s fastest-developing regions, even at a time when the rest of the world is being bludgeoned by energy and food crises.

💬 "If you allow such actions, then do not be offended, but you will not receive support from us on the issue of joining NATO. The Swedish leadership should not expect our support," Erdogan said referring to the Quran burning in Sweden.

He stressed that those who create such "heresy," as well as those who allow such actions, must be held accountable.

💰 The US' plans to transfer confiscated Russian assets to Ukraine are theft, said Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov.

💬 "A country based on the rule of law is now engaged in denying itself, so people declaring these kinds of ideas have got a little carried away with geopolitics, they are hurting themselves," Ryabkov told reporters.

Earlier in January, a US Justice Department spokesman, Andrew Adams, said that he expected his country to send the assets seized from Russian elites to help Ukraine.

Only 34% of likely US voters preferred that Congress authorize additional spending in order to avoid a partial government shutdown. The poll did not disclose the margin of error for the poll.
