A radioactive capsule, which vanished in Western Australia, was missing for weeks before anyone noticed, officials have finally admitted.
The capsule, measuring 6x8mm, contains a small amount of radioactive Caesium-137, which can harm one's health, and was lost during transport from a mine site in Newman to the suburbs of Perth in early January. However, officials realized that it had been lost only 15 days later.

🗣 “The Christian and Muslim communities of the village highly appreciated Russia's contribution to the establishment of peace and stability in the CAR,” the Russian Embassy in the African country said in a statement.
Within two weeks, the renaming of the street will be included in the cadastres of the settlement, located in Ouaka Prefecture in the central part of the CAR.

The former vice chancellor fears that Russia can now freely characterize Berlin’s actions as those of a warring party, and that the tank delivery could not only escalate the crisis in Ukraine, but threaten to turn the security crisis into a full-blown European war.
Strache called for the creation of a “strong German, international and non-partisan peace movement” which can resist further escalation. “We will be able to end the madness of war and prevent the conflict from escalating only through peace negotiations,” he stressed.

Inaugurated by the country’s President Joao Lourenco, the station’s main task is to monitor the activity of the satellite “ANGOSAT 2,” launched in October 2022 with the help of Russia.
🗣 “With the launch of this satellite and its commissioning, Angola will win in all services, so we will improve our telecommunications and our social communication and will also benefit from this important project,” the president said.
Lourenco pointed out that his government will continue making “further investments to ensure that our telecommunications contribute to the development of the country and the services of our economy.”
The southern African country launched its first satellite “ANGOSAT 1” in December 2017 with the help of a Russian rocket, but the satellite run out of control as soon as it entered orbit.

🏆 The Chinese Olympic Committee on Saturday expressed its agreement with the stance of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) to allow, among others, Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in international tournaments under neutral status.
