🇦🇴 🛰 Angola opens its first satellite control center
Inaugurated by the country’s President Joao Lourenco, the station’s main task is to monitor the activity of the satellite “ANGOSAT 2,” launched in October 2022 with the help of Russia.
🗣 “With the launch of this satellite and its commissioning, Angola will win in all services, so we will improve our telecommunications and our social communication and will also benefit from this important project,” the president said.
Lourenco pointed out that his government will continue making “further investments to ensure that our telecommunications contribute to the development of the country and the services of our economy.”
The southern African country launched its first satellite “ANGOSAT 1” in December 2017 with the help of a Russian rocket, but the satellite run out of control as soon as it entered orbit.

🏆 The Chinese Olympic Committee on Saturday expressed its agreement with the stance of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) to allow, among others, Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in international tournaments under neutral status.
The statement also said that the committee would "actively support the IOC and the OCA's initiatives and decisions" and was ready to establish a platform for the joint protection of all athletes, including professional Russian and Belarusian athletes, to protect Olympic values.

Russian Diplomat: US Complicit in Ukrainian HIMARS Attack on Donbass Hospital That Killed 14 People
The Ukrainian troops targeted a hospital in Novoaydar in the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR) using the US-made multiple rocket launcher system HIMARS, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Saturday. As a result, 14 people were killed and 24 others injured.
Russian Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations Dmitry Polyansky has blamed the United States for the Ukrainian attack on a hospital in the Donbass, saying that the use of the HIMARS rocket launchers was green-lit by Washington, which made the US "directly complicit."

Russia Unwilling to Hold Talks With Tokyo on Fishing Near Kuril Islands
Moscow has informed Tokyo that, due to anti-Russian measures taken by the Japanese government, Russia cannot agree on the holding of intergovernmental consultations on marine fishing cooperation in the area of the southern Kuril Islands, the Russian Foreign Ministry told Sputnik.
"In the context of the anti-Russian measures taken by the Japanese government, which obviously run counter to the spirit and letter of the 1998 agreement on strengthening and developing good neighborliness, the Russian side has informed Tokyo that it could not agree on holding intergovernmental consultations on the implementation of this agreement," the ministry said in a statement.

The curious animal was captured by one of the cameras installed by the City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks (OSMP). The organization used camera traps to monitor the wildlife. As a result, of the 580 photos collected in this way, about 400 turned out to be portraits of the same beast.
The national park staff said that they had never received so many photos of a single animal.
