Irish political commentator and socialist activist Phil Kelly discusses the political crisis in North of Ireland after Brexit, the pursuit of truth and reconciliation for the Irish Troubles era, and Irish reunification:
💬 "There's a lot of people here who wouldn't have been particularly dispossessed towards Irish unity, but the economic reality of what the UK has done to itself has them looking for an alternative. And if you consider as well, the majority of citizens in the North rejected Brexit, I think it was a 55.8% of citizens here voted Remain. And if you look at Scotland, it was even higher. 62% of Scots voted to remain in the EU."

How Aid to Ukraine Has Left Britain's Military in a Sorry State
Britain’s Treasury has reportedly made clear that there will be “no new money” for defense despite grumbling from the defense establishment that the Army is being “hollowed out” and weakened, including by gifting the precious-little equipment the Army does have to Kiev. The UK’s elite Armed Forces have consistently ranked among the best in the world, but what kind of state are they in today?

After the US Congress passed a law requiring the Pentagon to produce annual reports on unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs), which were formerly called UFOs, an ex-US fighter pilot is calling on his colleagues to come forward with their stories.
Ryan Graves, a former US Navy fighter pilot who is now chair of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) UAP Integration & Outreach Committee (UAPIOC), was the first pilot to go public about his UAP sightings. In a Sunday op-ed in The Hill, a federal government-focused newspaper, he urged others to do the same.

💬 "In the last week, there was the anniversary of Bloody Sunday, an event that kind of echoed throughout the world where the British Parachute Regiment killed 14 unarmed civilians in Derry. And it took a campaign over decades from 1972 onwards to bring about the truth about what happened, that those 14 people killed were entirely innocent. And we still haven't seen justice on that."

The earthquake in Turkey left 65 dead and another 665 injured in Diyarbakir, Sputnik's correspondent reports, citing healthcare officials.
Residents of the Kurdish-majority said there was a shortage of food, water or blankets. Search and rescue operations still continue in the destroyed buildings.
A tent camp has been set up in Koşuyolu Park in the Baglar district. Because of bad weather and the cold, local citizens lit bonfires to keep warm. Some tents were housing as many as four families, but those who did not get tents had to spend the night outside, warming themselves by the fire
