Finland Ready to Join NATO Without Sweden, Sources Claim

Despite the fact that Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin only last week assured that Finland intends to enter NATO together with Sweden, high-profile sources have revealed that all Finnish parties, bar one, are ready for their country to proceed alone.

While externally Helsinki has signaled that it continues to regard NATO membership as a common cause of Finland and Sweden, behind the scenes attitudes may be quite different.

Finland is ready to join NATO without Sweden in the event that Turkey and/or Hungary only ratify the Finnish NATO application and not the Swedish one, the nation's media have reported, citing several high-ranking sources.

🇷🇺🇯🇵 The Japanese government regards the situation with Moscow and Tokyo not signing the peace agreement on the South Kuril Islands as regrettable, and Japan is committed to the resolution of territorial issues and concluding a peace treaty, Japanese PM Fumio Kishida said.

‘North Korea-linked’ Hackers Made Off With at Least $630 Million in Crypto, Report Claims

The report, to be made public either later this month or sometime in March, said that the $630 million figure was based on South Korean estimates. However, a cybersecurity firm cited by the monitors estimated that North Korean actors may actually have made off with over $1 billion in crypto. “The techniques used by cyber threat actors have become more sophisticated, thus making tracking stolen funds more difficult,” the report indicated.
