❗️US Army Maj. Gen. William Taylor said on Saturday that two leaders of the Islamic State terrorist group (IS, banned in Russia) were killed and another one was injured in a US airstrike in Afghanistan.

In the aftermath of the explosion near Kabul Airport, US President Joe Biden has pledged to hunt down Daesh-K to make them pay for killing US citizens lives. The UK, France, and Germany have condemned the attack and pledged to coordinate on the emerging challenges amid the evacuation effort.

🥺A family that spent tens of thousands of dollars on medical equipment throughout their son's life has donated it all to people in need.

In May 2021, the Pantojas family packed up the equipment that was used to improve their son Dylan's quality of life, who had moderate hydrocephalus, before he passed away in 2019 at the age of 16. They transported it to Chicago and hand-delivered it all to nonprofit organisation ASI, which provides home care services to post-acute patients, senior citizens, and people with disabilities in the Windy City.

"Dylan would have loved for someone else to get it," the Pantojas said.

🚔In Colorado, a jury has convicted a day care provider on child abuse charges after she was caught keeping 26 children behind a false wall in a basement at her centre.

Police received reports in November 2019 that Mountain Play Place was caring for more children than was allowed. Carla Marie Faith, a day care worker at the centre, told police that no children were in the building, but an officer heard music and a child’s cry from the basement. Another officer later found the false wall and concealed kids.

Faith faced 26 counts of misdemeanour child abuse, a felony count of attempting to influence a public servant, and another misdemeanour for running a child care facility without a license. The jury convicted her on Thursday, and she could see up to six years in prison.

❗️According to Zabiullah Mujahid, a Taliban spokesman, the US should have warned the group it was planning an airstrike against Daesh-Khorasan targets. Reuters cited Mujahid as saying the strike, which killed several people, was a "clear attack" on Afghan territory.

Mujahid added that the Taliban expects to take full control of Kabul Airport once US forces leave, and will announce a full cabinet in the coming days.
