🤔 Gun lobby vs weapons carry ban: who will win?
A group associated with the National Rifle Association (NRA) has won the right to appeal against the state of New York’s denial of applications for citizens to carry concealed handguns in public.
Earlier, a New York court ruled against two gun owners and the NRA-affiliated New York Rifle group when they tried to legally challenge the legitimacy of the restrictions on carrying concealed handguns in public places.
The plaintiffs claimed that the state of New York’s restrictions violated the Second Amendment of the US Constitution on the right to own and carry guns.

🔫 Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, gun sellers across the US have reported a major spike in firearm and ammunition purchases. Rising uncertainty among US citizens, who have endured periodic lockdown measures, has led to increased fears of food shortages, government shutdowns, and other potential crises.
According to a report from the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), there was a nearly 60% increase in gun sales among Black Americans in 2020, including more than 8 million people who were first time buyers as well as a rise in the number of female gun-purchasers

✈️ F-35's still increasing in price.
Matthew Bromberg, chief of the military engines division for Pratt & Whitney explained that the spike in pricing happened due to the expulsion of Turkey from the programme – a move initiated by Washington itself in 2019. As it turned out, Turkish companies had been producing 188 parts for the jet's engines and did so at a much cheaper price than the firms that replaced them.
The US is yet to qualify the suppliers for the remaining 25% of the details currently manufactured by the Turkish companies. The Pentagon hoped to finish the process by 2020, but, in fact, it will be relying on Turkish suppliers for two more years until their contracts end
