📃 Adam Smith, head of the US House Armed Services Committee, released a summary of his proposed 2022 defence bill.

According to Smith, $275 million would be provided as security aid to Ukraine. Another $175 million would be provided to ensure “Baltic security”.

🇺🇸🌪 The US Coast Guard assesses the damage left in the wake of Hurricane Ida in an overflight of New Orleans.

Ida has weakened to a tropical storm after wreaking havoc on the Louisiana coast communities, leaving at least one person dead and over half a million without power.

US soldiers were shooting Afghan civilians in the chaotic aftermath of the suicide bombings near the Kabul airport, eyewitnesses tell RT.

"We saw that they were shooting people in the stomach and in the head from all sides, not just into the air," a witness said, adding that "mostly Americans were shooting" in fear that there were more suicide bombers in the crowd.
