🇬🇷 Athens will not supply S-300 air defense missile systems to Ukraine, despite the United States' relevant requests, as this would weaken Greece's defense, the country's Defense Minister Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos told media.
▪️ When asked if US State Secretary Antony Blinken had requested the sending of military equipment, including S-300 systems, to Ukraine during his recent trip to Greece earlier this week, Panagiotopoulos said that Washington had long asked Athens to supply S-300 systems to Ukraine.
💬 "But we said that we could not grant this request because we could in no way provide any assistance by weakening our defenses. S-300s are where they are. They were bought and arrived in Greece for certain reasons, and as long as these reasons exist, we are not going to agree to any weakening of our defense system," Panagiotopoulos said.

Traces of what are also referred to as "forever chemicals" were identified in the blood of animals after an in-depth study of more than 100 recent peer-reviewed studies of PFAS contamination by the Environmental Working Group.
The group found that the median amount of the chemicals in freshwater fish was 280 times greater than the forever chemicals detected in some commercially caught and sold fish, adding in its news release that such high levels of the compounds "may be harmful."

The image, originally posted to a U-2-related blog by journalist Chris Pocock along with an article playing up the spy plane’s versatility against surveillance balloons, spread like wildfire online after being cleaned up and de-grained.
“I saw the report. I can confirm the photo’s authenticity,” Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh told reporters. The spokesperson added that at this time, “the majority of the balloon, including the payload, was recovered” during search operations off the coast of South Carolina, where the balloon was shot down on February 4.
