❗️Russian MoD briefing on the progress of the special military operation in Ukraine:

▪️The Russian Army has thwarted a massive drone attack on Crimea by Ukrainian forces, 6 UAVs shot down, four more disabled via electronic warfare;

▪️Russian troops eliminated to 90 Ukrainian servicemen and destroyed three pickup trucks and one D-30 howitzer in the Kupyansk direction;

▪️Ukrainian losses in the Krasniy Liman direction amounted to more than 150 servicemen, with four armored fighting vehicles as well as Msta-B and D-30 howitzers destroyed;

▪️Russian forces eliminated up to 190 Ukrainian servicemen, destroyed two armored fighting vehicles, 16 motor vehicles, as well as two D-30 and one D-20 howitzers in the Donetsk direction;

▪️A Ukrainian ammunition depot was destroyed near Ochertino in the DPR, and another one was destroyed near Aleksandrovka in the Kherson region;

Peruvian Man Caught Carrying Ancient Mummy in Delivery Bag

A young man in Peru has been caught carrying around a mummy wrapped in his saddle bag. Police officers were carrying out a routine check when they found that the 26-year-old man's thermal bag bearing the name of a Latin American food delivery app, contained a mummy estimated to be between 600 and 800 years old.

The man told police that “Juanita” was his "spiritual girlfriend” whom he would occasionally take out to show his friends in the neighborhood. “At home, she’s in my room, she sleeps with me. I take care of her,” he was reported as saying.

📹 Footage of a FPV kamikaze UAV called Boomerang in action has been unveiled by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

In the drone world, FPV stands for “first-person view” and it means that the pilot can see what the drone sees. An FPV drone is easier to control, than a conventional one, and is able to follow a route or chase a target at speed up to 170 km/h.

In addition, the Boomerang drone has no satellite communication, so anti-drone guns are powerless against it.

🚇 Today Russian President Vladimir Putin and Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin launched the so-called Big Circle Line of the Moscow metro.

Putin stressed that the Big Circle Line is the largest in the world in terms of its length, topping the Beijing metro circle line. As a meeting with China's Xi Jinping is expected soon, Russia's president said that he intends to show him the Big Circle Line personally, or, "at least, to the delegation [of China].”

Keir Simmons, an NBC journalist, has been added to the Ukrainian "kill list" website Mirotvorets

He is accused of entering the Crimean Peninsula through the Russian mainland and "participation in propaganda activities against Ukraine."

Ukraine’s Ministry of Culture said today that they are very concerned about the NBC TV report that featured Crimean citizens saying they are Russian and will defend the peninsula if Ukrainian forces attack.

A number of people whose names have appeared on the Mirotvorets website have been killed. Oles Buzina, a prominent Ukrainian journalist, and ex-Rada lawmaker Oleg Kalashnikov are among them. Likewise, Italian photojournalist Andrea Rocchelli, who was blacklisted, was killed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces during the Donbass war in 2014.

Survey results show Erdogan as frontrunner in Turkish presidential race

According to the outcome of a poll conducted by the Areda Survey research center, 49.8% of the respondents said they would vote for Erdogan, while 21.7% chose Kemal Kilicdaroglu, the leader of the Republican People's Party. Mansur Yavas, who is currently Ankara’s mayor, was backed by 9.6% of the survey’s participants, and Ekrem Imamoglu, Istanbul’s incumbent mayor, got 6.9%.

As for party preferences, the ruling Justice and Development Party took first place, securing the approval of 38.5% of those surveyed, according to the poll’s results, followed by the Republican People's Party, which got 22.8% of the votes, and the Peoples' Democratic Party with 10.5%.

The election would most likely take place as planned on May 14.

Kiev Urged to 'Start Its Own Defense Spending Planning' as Costs of Arms Shipments to Ukraine Soar

East Palestine Residents Reportedly Suffering From ‘Chemical Bronchitis’ After Train Derailment

Health workers treating people from East Palestine, Ohio and the surrounding communities have reported a pattern of worrying symptoms. These include what they say could be a form of chemical bronchitis (also known as industrial bronchitis) – an inflammation of the lining of bronchial tubes carrying air to and from the lungs typically caused by prolonged exposure to chemical fumes, acids or dusts.

Residents of the small Ohio community on the border with Pennsylvania have spent weeks now reporting various symptoms, including shortness of breath, severe headaches, dizziness, coughing and odd rashes. They have also reported the deaths of pets and farm animals, and spotted hundreds of dead fish washing up on the shores of local creeks.
