🇷🇺 While talking to the workers of an aircraft factory in Russia's Ulan-Ude, Vladimir Putin said that Russia had been trying to persuade partners to solve the problems of Donbass peacefully for eight years, and they "deceived and led by the nose."

📍 The president also noted that all the current problems began after the collapse of the USSR: the world was created after the Second World War by the victors - the United States and the Soviet Union.

Sputnik Lithuania editor and Sputnik Radio host Marat Kasem, who has been detained in Latvia for more than two months on charges of violating EU economic sanctions, turns 33 on March 14.

The conditions of his detention could be considered torture, which is prohibited by the European Convention. Kasem was transferred to a cold solitary cell with unsanitary conditions, worsening his chronic illnesses, but the prison administration ignored his requests for medical attention. The investigation has also exerted much pressure on Kasem to confess. His arrest is an example of persecution against Russian media workers in Europe.

The immediate release of Marat Kasem would put an end to the story of the illegal arrest and send a good signal that the campaign of persecution against Russian journalists is coming to an end.

🇷🇺 Steven Seagal said that he is 100% Russophile and a million percent Russian.
