Russia Negatively Assesses Kiev's Proposal to Expand Grain Deal

Moscow has a negative attitude to the desire of the Ukrainian side to expand the grain deal, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin said on Tuesday.

Last week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that he had held a meeting with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in Kiev to discuss the grain export agreement, its extension and expansion.

🇺🇸 The US Justice Department launched an investigation into the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank (SVB), a US daily newspaper reported on Tuesday, citing a person familiar with the matter.

California regulators shut down SVB on Friday, marking the second-largest bank collapse since the 2008 financial crisis. The bank, which was popular among tech firms, was closed after a run on deposits.

📍 The investigation will focus on the bank’s collapse and the actions of its senior executives, the report said.

Moscow Expects US to Stop Flights Near Russian Borders After Black Sea Incident

Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov, after a US drone crash incident over the Black Sea, said Moscow expects Washington to stop flights near Russian borders.

"We are well aware of the missions such reconnaissance and strike drones are used for. According to National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby, US UAVs make these kinds of overflights on a daily basis. What do they do thousands of miles away from the United States? The answer is obvious," Antonov told reporters.

Australian, Fiji PMs to Discuss AUKUS Nuclear Sub Deal After China Cries Foul

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has arrived in Fiji to discuss the AUKUS submarine program and regional security with his counterpart Sitiveni Rabuka.

Earlier this week, the trilateral security partnership between Australia, the UK and the US agreed to supply Canberra with conventionally armed nuclear-powered submarines in the early 2030s.

❗️Russian MoD briefing on the progress of the special military operation in Ukraine:

▪️ In the Kharkov region, up to 70 Ukrainian soldiers, an armored combat vehicle, three pickup trucks, two cars, a Gvozdika self-propelled artillery mount, a D-20 howitzer, and a Polish-made Krab self-propelled howitzer were destroyed.

▪️ Over 235 Ukrainian troops, two armored combat vehicles, four pickup trucks, a D-20 howitzer, two Akatsiya and Gvozdika self-propelled artillery mounts, as well as an M777 artillery system made in the USA were destroyed in the DPR and LPR.

▪️ In the Donetsk People's Republic, enemy losses amounted to 160 Ukrainian soldiers, one tank, an infantry fighting vehicle, two armored combat vehicles and four vehicles. In addition, the following were destroyed: a Akatsia self-propelled artillery mount, a D-20 howitzer, two Grad and Uragan MLRS combat vehicles, as well as a M777 artillery system and M109 Paladin self-propelled howitzer made in the USA.

▪️ In the Zaporozhye region and the DPR, the total losses of the enemy amounted to 75, as well as three armored combat vehicles, four pickup trucks and an Akatsiya self-propelled artillery mount and a sabotage and reconnaissance group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

▪️ More than 35 Ukrainian troops, six vehicles and a D-30 howitzer were destroyed in the Kherson region.

▪️ Russian aviation and artillery defeated the 101st Artillery Unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at firing positions, manpower and equipment in 197 districts.

▪️ In the Donetsk People's Republic, positions were opened and three radar stations of Ukrainian S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems were destroyed.

▪️ Russian aviation shot down a Mi-8 helicopter of the Ukrainian Air Force in the Zaporozhye region.

▪️ During the day, seven Ukrainian UAVs were destroyed by means of air defense.
