🇺🇸 The United States and its allies are doing everything to prolong the Ukrainian conflict, not even shying away from the supply of depleted uranium ammunition to Kiev, Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said on Wednesday.

🗣 "This decision leads to a tragedy on a global scale, which will primarily affect European countries," Volodin said on Telegram.

The official also expressed concern about the possibility of Kiev using a dirty bomb or even "tactical nuclear weapons" in the future.

Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on Wednesday that he intends to vote against a major clause in the new deal between the United Kingdom and the European Union on the Northern Ireland Protocol, brokered by incumbent leader Rishi Sunak.

At the end of February, Sunak announced that the European Union and the United Kingdom have made a "decisive breakthrough" in negotiations on the Northern Ireland Protocol. The protocol is going to be replaced by the newly agreed-upon Windsor Framework in order to resolve the outstanding issues with the previous agreement, including the checks imposed on UK goods arriving in Northern Ireland.
