🇲🇽 Mexico's Supreme Court has accepted the National Electoral Institute's (INE) claim on the unconstitutional nature of the presidential electoral reform and stopped all new provisions in related laws.
"The Investigating Minister granted the suspension requested by the INE with respect to all the challenged articles of the Decree so that things remain in the state in which they are today and the provisions in force before the respective reform apply," the highest court said in a Friday statement.
The supreme court emphasized that defendants in the lawsuit - the Mexican Congress and the federal executive - must submit their response to the INE lawsuit within the statutory period.
According to the high court, this case concerns "a possible violation of the political and electoral rights of citizens."

Egyptologists Uncover Incredible Ancient Relief Paintings Showing Planets, Complete Zodiac
The temple in Esna was completed around 250 AD, but the part that remains today and in which the paintings were found was the vestibule to the temple, which would have been completed between 41 and 54 AD, when Claudius was the emperor of Rome.
The paintings on the sandstone walls were covered and hidden by grime that had to be carefully removed. However, once cleaned, the incredible colorful frescoes became visible in all their glory.

🇧🇫 Russia is actively working on opening an embassy in Burkina Faso, this is in line with Moscow's strategic goals, Russian Ambassador to Cote d'Ivoire and Burkina Faso Alexey Saltykov told Sputnik.
💬 "The issue of reopening the embassy in Ouagadougou is under consideration. We are working on this issue ... We all need to be optimistic, and as the ambassador in Abidjan and part-time in Burkina Faso, I am also optimistic that this will happen after all, because it corresponds to the strategic course of Russia to develop relations with countries on the continent," Saltykov said.
He recalled how Russia made the difficult decision to close its diplomatic mission in Burkina Faso in 1992, due to financial reasons.
💬 "Starting from this year, the maintenance of bilateral diplomatic relations between Russia and Burkina Faso has been entrusted to the Russian Embassy in Abidjan. Since then, work on the development of bilateral relations has not stopped even for a minute. We are quite active in holding dialogue, first of all, through notes of correspondence, through official channels, but we also have regular visit exchanges: the ambassador or embassy employees who come to the capital Ouagadougou and negotiate with Burkina colleagues," Saltykov told Sputnik.

🇨🇦🇨🇳 Joe Biden mistakenly hailed "China" instead of "Canada" as he addressed parliamentarians as part of his official visit to Ottawa.
Commenting on the agreement on diverting asylum seekers, reportedly struck between the two countries ahead of Biden’s official visit as part of a crackdown on the migration surge, America’s octogenarian president said:
💬 "Today, I applaud China for stepping up,” but quickly added, "Excuse me, I applaud Canada." POTUS then quipped, “You can tell what I’m thinking about China. I won’t get into that yet.”

🇻🇦🇬🇷 Three fragments of the Parthenon were returned to Acropolis Museum in Athens from the Vatican after having been discussed with Pope Francis two years ago.
The three sculptural elements were part of the decoration of the Parthenon, created by the sculptor Phidias in the mid-fifth century BC. The priceless marble pieces have been in Vatican museums since the 19th century.
The first piece is the head of a horse from the western pediment of the temple. The second fragment is the head of a boy, presumably holding a tray of offerings to Athena from the frieze o the temple. Another fragment is of a man's head with a beard, presumably from the south side of the same temple.

💻 Personal user data of ChatGPT has been compromised because of a bug, which was later discovered by chatbot developer OpenAI, the company said.
💬 "We took ChatGPT offline earlier this week due to a bug in an open-source library which allowed some users to see noscripts from another active user’s chat history," the company said in a statement, adding that the error is now fixed.
Hours before the company took ChatGPT offline, it was possible to see another active user's first and last name, email, payment address, the last four digits of a credit card and its expiration date, the statement read.
In total, around 1.2 percent of ChatGPT subscribers were affected by the data leak, the company said, adding that the figure is "extremely low."

🇺🇬🇷🇺 A group of 12 members of the Uganda Air Force have completed an eight-month training course in piloting Mi-28NE attack helicopters
🗣 "There is no doubt that the introduction of the attack helicopters into the battlefield changed the tides of war in Northern Uganda against the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) in favor of the UPDF [Uganda Peoples' Defense Forces]
and continue to do so in the subsequent operations," the commander of the Air Force, Lt. Gen Charles Okidi, states.
▪️ Last year, Russia delivered a batch of Mi-28NE attack helicopters (an export version of Mi-28N Night Hunter) to Uganda.
▪️The Lord’s Resistance Army, which presents itself as an organization representing the interests of the Acholi people in northern Uganda, has been active since 1988. The militants are fighting against the central government of Uganda and are reported to have committed numerous human rights violations

UK PM Sunak Reportedly to Face Tory Rebellion Over 'Too Anemic' Illegal Migration Bill
Reports of rebel Tories demanding that the proposed migrant legislation be "toughened up" come after the bill was earlier repeatedly slammed by the opposition and various human rights organizations. Some argue that forced relocation will not be effective in preventing illegal migration to the UK, while others say the bill violates human rights, is authoritarian, and is "pushing the boundaries" of existing treaty commitments.
