▪️ Prominent member of the US Democratic Party and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi got roasted online over a remark about the indictment of the 45th President of the United States Donald Trump.
▪️ In a recent tweet of hers, Pelosi argued that the Grand Jury that made the decision to indict the ex-POTUS “has acted upon the facts and the law,” before making a rather strange claim about how a trial is supposed to work.
🗣 “No one is above the law, and everyone has the right to a trial to prove innocence,” she wrote, adding that she hopes that Trump “will peacefully respect the system, which grants him that right.”
▪️ Quite a few social media users were quick to remind Pelosi about a thing called the presumption of innocence, and that a person who goes on trial is regarded as innocent until proven guilty, not the other way around.

⚡ Metropolitan Pavel announced the storming of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, which should begin at 5 pm local time
💬 "Our people have overheard these thugs who are talking on phone, preparing for these events. I hope that this will not happen. We ask for your prayers," he said in an address to believers and security forces.
📌 On March 10, the National Kiev-Pechersk Historical and Cultural Preserve in Ukraine ordered the monks based in the monastery to depart by March 29 after an interdepartmental Ukrainian commission accused the UOC of violating the terms of an agreement on the use of state property. Ukrainian Culture Minister Oleksandr Tkachenko said the monks could only stay in the Lavra if they joined the schismatic Orthodox Church of Ukraine, a decision that might be "stimulated through the joint work of specialists and law enforcement officers."

Ex-UN Under-Secretary-General Reveals Why West Fears Russia's UNSC Presidency
On April 1, Russia is scheduled to take over the UN Security Council presidency, a role that is rotated monthly among the council's 15 members.
As Russia's UNSC presidency draws closer, the White House lamented that there is "no feasible international legal pathway" to change that reality, while Ukraine blatantly branded Russia's presidency of the UN Security Council as a "bad joke."
Sergey Ordzhonikidze, a veteran Russian diplomat and former United Nations Under-Secretary-General as well as former Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva appointed by then-Secretary-General Kofi Annan, explained to Sputnik why certain countries seem so upset about this situation and what Moscow may do while it presides over the UN Security Council.
