🇨🇦 The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation is suspending its activities on Twitter following the social media platform’s decision to label them as a government-funded outlet

💬 "Our journalism is impartial and independent. To suggest otherwise is untrue. That is why we are pausing our activities on Twitter," CBC said in a statement.

The decision comes following Twitter’s decision to apply the "government-funded media" label to CBC’s primary account, which was also recently applied to US state-funded outlet National Public Radio.

❗️Russian MoD briefing on the progress of the special military operation in Ukraine:

▪️In the Kupyansk direction, Russian forces destroyed up to 35 Ukrainian troops, one tank, two armored fighting vehicles as well as two US-made M109 Paladin self-propelled howitzer and a D-20 howitzer;

▪️In the South Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions, the Russian Army destroyed two ammunition depots. Ukrainian losses during the day amounted to 30 soldiers, three armored fighting vehicles and one D-20 howitzer;

▪️In the Donetsk direction, Russian forces destroyed more than 290 Ukrainian troops, three armored fighting vehicles, one Ukrainian infantry fighting vehicle, a Grad MLRS combat vehicle, a US-made M777 artillery system and US-made AN/TPQ-50 radar system;

▪️In the Krasny Liman direction, Ukrainian losses amounted to 80 troops and two armored fighting vehicles;

▪️In the Kherson direction, Russian troops neutralized up to 25 Ukrainian soldiers, a US-made M777 artillery system and two D-30 howitzers as well as two fuel depots for Ukrainian military equipment;

▪️Russian air defense systems also intercepted six Ukrainian UAVs in the LPR, DPR, and Kharkov region.
