Russia to take measures if Finland fails to resolve issue with Russian property
The Finnish authorities have yet to provide an explanation for their actions in seizing the property used by the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Helsinki.
Moscow has demanded clarification and threatened to take response measures if the situation is not resolved.
The Finnish authorities have temporarily banned any real estate activities on the land used by the center, citing concerns over EU sanctions, but the Russian Foreign Ministry argues that the property is owned by the Russian Federation and there are no grounds for seizure.

McCarthy 'working through' GOP holdouts' concerns over debt ceiling bill as default 'X-Date' looms
GOP Speaker Kevin McCarthy is working to convince hesitant Republicans to support his debt ceiling legislation.
While optimistic about passing the bill, divisions remain within the party, and the looming "X-date" adds pressure.
McCarthy's bill proposes a temporary $1.5 trillion increase in the debt ceiling and includes spending cuts that some Republicans have concerns about, such as the repeal of green energy tax credits and a 20-hour-per-week work requirement for able-bodied Medicaid recipients without children starting in 2025.
McCarthy is resisting amendments to the bill, and GOP leaders plan to discuss final details with members on Wednesday.
The proposed bill is estimated to save taxpayers $4.8 trillion over 11 years.

Dan Lazare, investigative journalist and author of America's Undeclared War, joins us to discuss Germany's poor position as Poland holds military exercises seemingly aimed at the country
🗣️”Nord Stream was the basis of an emerging German-Russian alliance, an alliance that Germany believed was for the good of Europe and that would benefit Europe, because it would supply it was clean with cheap energy. But now that alliance has been destroyed by the US and therefore, Germany has sort of been cut loose. And meanwhile, Poland is attacking it and taking advantage of the post-Nord Stream situation to attack Germany,” he stated

The Biden administration should consider providing Ukraine with cluster bomb munitions as there are two million available in US stocks to determine their effectiveness on the battlefield as Russia continues its special military operation, Congressman Joe Wilson said on Wednesday.
"I hope every effort will be made to look into providing the cluster bombs that we have two million available," Wilson said during a House Committee on Armed Services hearing.

🇺🇸 DeSantis gearing up for 2024 election bid in early May
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis may reportedly announce his participation in the 2024 presidential campaign as early as mid-May.
Reports indicated that some of DeSantis' supporters are urging him to announce his decision on May 11. However, individuals in the governor's inner circle reportedly believe it's far too soon and are calling for the political figure to make an announcement later in the year.
It's been suggested by US outlets that the arrival of political vendors in Tallahassee this past week is potentially a sign that an announcement could be imminent as vendors seek to obtain contracts with the DeSantis camp.
