Iran willing to provide advanced defense weapons to Syria

Iran's Defense Minister Mohammad-Reza Ashtiani has stated that Iran is ready to provide Syria with advanced defense weapons to boost the security of the Syrian people.

Ashtiani also emphasized Iran's willingness to cooperate with Syria in building plants and launching production of strategic defense weapons to strengthen the republic's military capabilities.

In another meeting, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Mohammad Bagheri stated that Iran is prepared to share its vast experience in countering terrorism and conducting modern warfare with Oman.

Bagheri also offered Tehran's help in fighting maritime drug trafficking and invited Omani military officials to visit Iran.

So Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova commented on Zelensky's decree on the establishment of May 9 as Europe Day instead of Victory Day, the celebration of the defeat of Nazism in World War II.

“Having canceled Victory Day on May 9, he betrayed his ancestors once and for all: those who fought in the ranks of the Red Army, those who suffered and were tortured in concentration camps, and those who worked for the Victory in the rear. Earlier, the Ukrainian parliament had reported that the bill on making Victory Day May 8 (when it is celebrated in Europe and the US, due to a time zone difference) would be adopted ahead of schedule.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation built a modern military camp in the Chechen Republic in less than a year

Its total area is over 54 hectares. Specialists have built more than 50 facilities, including a sports complex and a park area for military equipment.

Texas will deploy a newly created national guard unit to the border to intercept migrants

"Today, we are deploying a new national guard unit, it's called the Texas Tactical Border Force," Governor Greg Abbott said. "They will be deployed to hot spots along the border to intercept, to repel and to turn back migrants who are trying to enter Texas illegally."

The troops will be equipped with aircraft, boats, night vision goggles and riot gear to prepare for anything they might encounter at the border, Abbott said.

Texas has already deployed around 10,000 National Guard members, along with 1,200 Texas Department of Public Safety troopers to the border, Abbott said.

Together, these forces have turned back more than 37,000 people who were trying to enter into the US and apprehended another 37,000 who did cross into the country illegally, he added.

The forces have also arrested about 27,000 dangerous criminals, including cartel gang members who were wanted for crimes such as murder and have seized enough fentanyl to kill every citizen in the United States, he said.

The study's authors suggest that these findings provide experimental evidence supporting the importance of solar energetic particles in the synthesis of biologically important molecules on the early Earth.

The researchers argue that their work helps highlight the role of solar particles in the synthesis of biologically important molecules deposited and accumulated in diverse aquatic geological settings on the early Earth.

The United States is reportedly expected to announce a new $1.2 billion long-term military aid package to Ukraine

Citing insiders with knowledge of the developments, US media reported Monday that the looming military package is designed to bolster even further Ukraine's air defenses in the conflict with Russia.

The package will reportedly include Hawk air defence systems, ammunition for air defence and anti-drone warfare. In addition, the US will fund satellite imagery and various types of training. All will be paid for under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative, which allows the Biden administration to purchase arms from industry rather than taking them from US stocks.

Once the package is announced, US aid to Ukraine will amount to around $37 billion since February 2022, media reports indicated, adding funds will be spent over months or years to ensure Ukraine’s future security needs.
