Turkish energy company Botas will invest over $400 million in the construction of a floating liquefied natural gas storage facility equipped with a Floating Storage Regasification Unit
The total capacity of the floating storage will be 180,000 cubic meters (over 47 million gallons), with the project enjoying all customs and tax benefits, Turkish newspaper reported.
Botas is planning to implement the project via its foreign subsidiary, importing machinery and equipment worth $399 million, the report said, adding that the decision to build the floating regasification unit was made after the discovery of gas reserves in the Black Sea, which are currently at the trial extraction stage.
In 2020, a huge gas field with an estimated 540 billion cubic meters was discovered in the Black Sea off the Turkish coast. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said it was the largest gas field in the country, adding that the total amount of natural gas in the Black Sea reached 710 billion cubic meters and was worth $1 trillion on the international markets.

The Ukrainian Army is inferior to the Russian one in all respects, according to a former MI6 agent
▪️ Ex-British foreign intelligence agent Alastair Crooke said that Kiev is not ready to launch any significant counterattack, despite all the Western help:
💬 “The situation has turned 180 degrees (...) Ukraine lacks ammunition and artillery pieces, and Russia has a full-scale logistics system, industrial power and supplies - everything its troops need for an offensive.”
▪️ According to his estimates, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have only 50,000 trained soldiers, while the Russian army has many times more.

Peter Flaherty, chairman of conservative NGO the National Legal and Policy Center, was cut off and removed from the conference. He proposed that Berkshire would have a separate chair and CEO so the company "would be less identified with Mr Buffet's personal political activities."

US will not send long-range missiles to Kiev as UK planning deliveries - reports
The United States has no plans to send long-range missiles to Ukraine, hoping that the United Kingdom's intention to transfer such weapons would help Washington avoid criticism amid calls to boost arms deliveries to Kiev, including the MGM-140 ATACMS surface-to-surface missiles, media reported.
The US is expected to continue providing the MIM-104 Patriot surface-to-air missile systems, ammunition and armored vehicles, the report said.
On Tuesday, a US news outlet reported that London was planning to send missiles with a range of 300 kilometers (200 miles) to Kiev on the condition that they would be used only to hit targets in the territory of Ukraine. The report was based on an International Fund for Ukraine procurement notice.

US Air Force F-22 Raptor fighter jets have begun training flights in Estonia
According to a local broadcaster’s report, 12 fighter jets were transferred from the United States to a Polish airbase for military drills in early April. Three of the fighters arrived at Estonia's Amari airbase near Tallinn this week. The drills include the practice of quickly responding to threats in cooperation with other countries.
US Ambassador in Estonia George Kent told the broadcaster that the fighters conduct joint flights with pilots from other countries.
"This morning, the pilots flew down to Lithuania, and we're working with Portuguese and Romanian pilots, and they hope, perhaps tomorrow, to be up in the air with British Typhoons also operating out of Amari. This is not the first time F-22s have visited Amari. I think the first time was in 2015, and I anticipate they will also be back. And that's an issue for our two militaries to discuss the timing and purpose," Kent said.

Sweden Democrat Bjorn Soder has promised a "culture war against what he dubbed "the decadent left's cultural policy"
High-profile Sweden Democrat Bjorn Soder has sparked a firestorm by promising a "culture war against what he dubbed "the decadent left's cultural policy," which, according to him, will soon be relegated to the past.
"The culture war has begun. And conservatism will win. The decadent left's cultural policy will soon be a thing of the past. For far too long it has prevailed as a result of unrestrained socialist influence and a neutered bourgeoisie. But now it's over," Soder tweeted.
The post has received over a million views in a country of over 10 million and has sparked furious reactions from left-wing profiles and even government allies.
Over the decades, the national-conservative Sweden Democrats have risen from being a fringe party to the largest on the country's right, gaining influence in the government and a say on key issues.
